I'm all for stopping foreign aid. Also, how are corporate elites getting a free healthcare ride from Uncle Sam?

Oh, agreed. Their is no silver bullet, the TeaPublicans made sure of that with their over 170 amendments they demanded to be added. The current ACA will, over time, force the Ins Cos to lower their premiums or face the risk of losing business.

I am posting this in Obamacare threads because there has been a glut of paid staffers for the DNC and/or the WH who keep posting that the ACA was bipartisan because it had Republican amendments in it........that is just a flat out lie.

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...says-health-plan-incorporates-ideas-of-Democ/

"The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions adopted 159 amendments offered by Republicans, but only two of them were significant or controversial enough to merit roll call votes. One of those two affected the manufacture of biologics medication and another required members of Congress and congressional staff to enroll in the government-run option"

Check the Tax Code and you will see that large corporations deduct medical insurance for employees on their 1120 corporate tax forms. This means taxpayers subsidize them. We have done so for decades so that elites have gotten a free ride all this time without the slightest complaint from the far right. As for Israel, we continue to pay for their costs every year, again, without the slightest complaint from the **********s are anyone on the right wing.

Since most employers have to offer health insurance, it is a deductible business expense.

I know we give aid to Israel, but I don't know how they use that money. I don't think you do neither.

Most Tea Party folk are against foreign aid, I would say.

You seriously need to go back to school and get your GED. A tax deduction is not a subsidy, all that means is that they are exempt from paying taxes on it. They still have to pay the cost of the insurance. People that deduct charitable donations on their tax forms don't get a check in the mail reimbursing them for their donations. My God the left has absolutely no clue about basic economics do they?

    You don't know squat buddy.

A corporate exemption means the company doesn't have to pay the tax but it also means that its employees get a freebie that the rest of us don't get. Therefore, contrary to your right wing mindless delusionalism, it is a subsidy - a handout that nobody else gets.

As shown previously on this forum USA aid constitutes a huge part of Israel's GDP. Without that aid its currency would be worthless and the state would not enjoy the socialist universal health care it has.

If **********s oppose foreign aid, why don't they stand up and DEMAND an end to all those multibillion dollar subsidies to the racist warmongering Israeli state?

So employee healthcare is a freedbie. :roflol: Apparently in your world corporations don't have to pay for health insurance with their profits, so why exactly do employers drop coverage when it becomes to expensive? After all according to you its all subsidized. Benefits are used to attract and retain employees. It is simply another aspect of compensation. The companies pay for most of the coverage and the employees contribute some of it themselves. AT NO POINT IS ANYTHING SUBSIDIZED BY ANYONE. The government does not reimburse the company for their health care costs. Only liberals argue that tax exemptions are the same as subsidies.

People in Florida or Montana are not having their incomes subsidized because they don't have to pay state income tax...........they just don't pay the taxes other states do. That is not a subsidy. This is more proof that liberals just regurgitate what they read without critically analyzing it. I assume this crap is where you got that stupid idea from. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...zed-health-care/2011/04/11/AFIrfhKD_blog.html

Thank you for proving the point that you don't know squat, buddy.

For years Fortune 500 employees have gotten a freebie paid for by taxpayers. Take away that tax deduction and see whether any of those elites employees would be happy especially when they have to pay their own fair like everyone else does. It may not be fashionable or politically correct to say that in your twisted and delusional right wing world but it's the TRUTH and you know it. Only delusional right wing liars deny that this is a privilege enjoyed only by the elites.

Not me - only used standard deduction and never was an employee of an elite Fortune 500 company.

Well, we DID try "trickle down reganomics" "tax breaks for the rich" etc. and they have all failed. Why don't you give ACA a try before ASSUMING it will fail?

So basically you are just jealous and envious of other people's success. And no, a tax deduction for health care premiums is NOT a subsidy no matter how hard you might pretend it is. It could be labelled an indirect subsidy if only companies that received it were your evil Fortune 500 companies but that is simply not the case. Even small businesses can claim tax exemptions for premiums. As I said if you are going to claim that everyone who has a lower or non existing tax of some kind is subsidized then States with no income tax are full of subsidized citizens. They are not all receiving checks in the mail and if a state has no income tax and everyone is exempt so its applied equally.

Should corporations get tax exemptions........Hell Yes! EVERYONE should get exempted from this crap. People already have their incomes taxed in some cases twice and if the government decides to start taxing businesses even more all they are going to do is either raise the prices of their product thus making the public pay more or they will reduce compensation to their employees. This is a basic facet of economics that people like you are completely ignorant of because clearly you have never taken a single economics course in your life.

Thanks for putting words into my mouth.

The better way to phrase it is, I paid my own way and didn't get the subsidization welfare these elites have always enjoyed at taxpayer expense.

I totally agree with you; those against Obamacare should "let it go" as it will fail on its own. As far your citing the Tea Party specifically, you are obviously not aware of what the grassroots Tea Party stands for. Most likely will admit that Health Care Insurance needed reform and specifically regulation. Most probably agree with the Patient Protection portion of the Act; which should have been a separate Act. Most don't agree with the Individual Mandate, specifically the HHS 10 benefits that they have mandated entirely on their own without Congressional approval. A Menopausal female or single male or female should not be forced to pay HIGHER premiums for coverage they won't need or use, such as maternity and newborn care. For single females it should be a choice to pay higher premiums for this coverage. For single males it is simply not needed and for menopausal women or women unable to conceive, it is simply stupid to make them pay the higher premium.
If you are 58 you have to pay the higher premium for maternity and newborn care, yet, if you are 65 on Medicare, it isn't considered
essential. What a crock of you no what.

Don't even use the phrase "health care costs" as the cost of health care isn't going down unless you are citing paying Doctors, Hospitals and other providers less even when their cost to provide the care isn't decreasing but is instead rising.

If you mean Health Insurance Premiums; then you are also incorrect, unless you are talking about those individuals that are signing up for Medicaid for the first time(even though they where likely eligible prior to passage of Obama Care). The number or uninsured individuals seeking emergency room care(paid by taxpayers) is likely not to change much as many are illegals or those below the poverty level that fail to get insurance or apply for Medicaid. I doubt you know what the definition of a Patriotic American is. Do you have a job, insurance, Medicaid or medicare coverage? I am a small employer that has paid 100% of my employees health insurance premiums for over 30 years. Due to this ill-conceived law I will likely not be able to continue this practice as I have already received the cancellation notice because our policy didn't include maternity or newborn care. None of my employees need this coverage. So, why am I forced to pay higher premiums to include it? Can you answer that question? (I doubt it)

Somebody please tell me what the Tea Party actually stands for. Since they appear to be mostly old farts they can not be against government health care.

The Republican party created Iraq's new constitution which guarantees universal health care - a service provided by our tax dollars just as we have paid for Israel's health care.

Where is your objection to that ???

    - - - Updated - - -

They argue against welfare but are themselves welfare recipients for the most part.
