3. He hightailed it home less than 24 hours later

Number 2 is the "getting caught," part. If it weren't a problem, number 3 would have been unnecessary.

Ted Cruz should have never went to Mexico when Texas needed him. Do you think that would be the right thing to do? Since he came back Texas has been on his case and even though he tries to apologizes for this, Cruz should be in the situation to either resign or catch hell for what he had done. Cruz should not get off scot free period.

 

I agree that it looks bad for him to have done this but I don't know if it calls for his resignation. Is there some other way he can redeem himself to his constituents?
