That is not my recollection of my life experiences.
Worthless opinion piece with an obvious anti-police bias.
So you should be extra grateful, they're so good at maintaining peace and freedom you've never needed them.
There are charging the thug cop Dean with murder. If he is convicted I wonder if the judge will give him a hug?
Ex-Fort Worth cop Aaron Dean indicted for murder of Atatiana Jefferson
And now he's off to prison.
Thanks for the update.
thanks for the update, good to see justice is being done
sounds like they knew this man was not cop material and hired him anyways?
"Kyle Clayton, the psychologist, told jurors that he had concluded that Dean “was not psychologically suitable to serve as a police officer” and that an evaluation suggested that Dean “had a narcissistic personality style” that would inhibit his judgment and "make him more likely to engage in behaviors that could put himself and others at risk.”
that was from before he was hired
All Slave Patrollers need to have psycho evaluations annually, if not every six months. The ex-military ones are nuts. Compare today's depictions of cops to old tv shows, like Dragnet and CHiPs and Adam-12. If you want to have some fun, watch a current cop show and count the number of times the idiots violate the constitution.
I agree, more testing of cops is needed, and on a ongoing basis
but in this case, they had a report that he had problems and hired him anyways
if they are gonna ignore the results of the tests, it helps no one and could cost some their lives
There is clear evidence, such as this, that shows the problem of racism and the tendency toward violence in our police forces goes well above the management level of individual policemen.
agree, but bad cops can effect all of us, regardless of race, we should all care
We all interact with the police from time to time. We may need help with and emergency. We may exceed the speed limit or whatever, We are ALL affected by their attitudes toward the public and toward the use of lethal force. We've seen the cases where the person calling for help was shot dead by the police.
Plus, having a significant segment of our population seeing police as a significant and very real threat to life rather than officers who "protect and serve" is a huge impact on everyone.
I feel for the job of policing. We do not pay them enough or provide adequate training. Plus, we allow civilian *******s to wander our streets everywhere with all manner of firearms.
I think the war on drug has not helped, it makes cops go on fishing expeditions, and causes young people not to trust cops
