I thought this was going to be a thread about how thanksgiving was shameful and the turkey was a symbol of hate, lol! Tuuuurkey, the wife never brines the turkey and its always moist, she cooks it in a foil tent than last thirty minutes without the tent. Although she does slather the turkey in butter just under the skin with all kinds of other goodies too. And of course stuffing cooked in the bird, yes i know it will someday probably make me incredibly ill and sick, I love stuffing cooked in the bird.
I'm not a fan of stuffing in the Bird,,,too moist. The tent idea is great though, it works. It's a great way of tenderizing meats. It works great for Brisket, and that can be a very tough meat if not done properly
I read the directions on the Brine, one thing though....How do you get a five gallon Bucket to fit in a refrigerator?...Woe! This is my cousin Ralph,, He fit in a five gallon Bucket,,,,,,,,once.
That is what I was thinking....it all sounds easy until you take in consideration the equipment. - - - Updated - - - I slice my turkey and let it bath in the broth...I can't stand dry turkey!! Gonna have to clear out the fridge and try the brine method sometime.
Sounds like frying a turkey...everybody shud do just 'once!' Messy.......and all that 'good' oil left over.
Well, we have had some great ideas for making a Juicy Turkey,,, Baste it Fry it Brine it Inject it Put it Breast down [Photo above noted] Oh,,and we have Overdrives Jiffy Lube and grove method...Thank You Mr Overdrive..., I'm sure we will all think of you next time we change our oil, or not
I have seen the future... Well at least my sister can't take away football on Turkey day...I mean "Tofurkey" day.
Awwww,,,COME ON!!!,,,,,,,,,I'm gonna get sick! Congratulations,,,you surpassed Overdrives Jiffy Lube and Grove method........................didn't think it was possible
Did you know that you can pack wheel bearings in Tofu (even looks like white Lithium grease!) and go 100K miles?!!
