What is this trend with righties to dump on kids with one parents?

Do they REALLY think CHILDREN CHOOSE to have ONE parent??? WTF!!!!

    .

SO? IS punishing those "precious lives"" for what their parents do fine with you???

It's not fine with me... I don't believe in punishing people for something someone else did.....why do you believe in something so grossly unfair???

You seem to be flailing around...give prescriptions to newborns??? WTF?

But your fantasy may come true for women, IF the right to their own body is taken away through anti-abortion laws ,they can be forced to take drugs, have to apply for a permit to get pregnant....a dream world for righties..

AGAIN, WHY should children pay for their parents mistakes?

If your mother murdered someone would you go to jail the rest of your life in her place?

    .

If a society cannot care for it's needy children it deserves to crumble.

A Great country cares for it's needy.... a S-hole country PUNISHES THEM.

The reason righties glorify the 50's through dirt colored glasses is because women were constrained and limited.

It made things so much easier for lazy, irresponsible men.

So tell me- WHY should I pay for your mistakes? If society must take over parenting/supporting your unwanted child, do we get the right to sterilize you so we don't have to do it twice?
That would certainly seem fair to me.....

Are you responsible for nothing you do- and would you learn anything, ever, if others always bailed you out?
The prescription idea is to make it necessary to take steps to be able to become pregnant, so that there would be no unwanted children. We don't know how to do that now; it was a "what if" statement.

Do you ever think through what you read before you rant about it? Try to understand the meaning of the words?

Lord, how I miss the 1950's. It was America's golden age. Unfortunately we are going in the opposite direction.

    Rose colored glasses I'm afraid.

It wasn't all that good for gays, blacks, or unmarried women.

But I would give anything to ride in a 1955 Ford Mustang around my neighborhood listening to Elvis tracks.

Yes. Not good but overall the country and society were miles ahead of where they are now.

Children don't pay bills. Any "welfare" programs for children are actually welfare programs for parents, with the possible exception of school lunches, which actually go to the children.

    Same here.

I don't watch TV anymore and haven't in many years. But I would do so in one micro second if it brought back the Kool Kats of the 1950s such as Kookie:

Today's generation is not acquainted with this type of character but it was awesome beyond words.

We also had some really kool slang:

And we had some iconic beauties back then:

First, tell me why you ask a question but could NOT answer any ? :) What's your excuse this time?

In society we all pay for other's mistakes....the driver who drives drunk raises all our insurance premiums....NO one supports themselves, NO one, no matter how deluded they are is independent of everyone else.

Again, Great countries care for their needy and the "less than perfect"...s-hole countries punish needy children.

I notice you are desperately trying to segue away from the "punish the children " issue we WERE discussing :) :)

I am sure it would seem fair to anyone who thought women were nothing but broodstock, animals , to be controlled.

I NEVER said that...what an imagination you have!!

I said CHILDREN should not be responsible for what their parents do.....and you are running from that quite quickly ;)

Oh ya, feed and clothe and shelter a child and what do they learn ? Nothing …????

Fantasy and dreaming about a Utopia that has never been and never will be is hardly a good debating point..

How about your rant? Do you ever answer those inconvenient questions?

The meaning of words? Well, I know "guide" is spelled with a "u"

    :roflol::roflol:

Over explanation on something meaningless, snarky childish insults, phony excuses for not answering questions ( a convenient cop out) …. but NO answers to those inconvenient questions :) :)

Uh, why do you keep responding if , as you claim, I haven't anything to address?

But thanks for quoting my posts so others can see your escape route :)

CHILDREN NEED food, clothing, shelter, heat , electricity...and THAT is what welfare pays for ….but seems righties aren't too concerned about those "PRECIOUS LIVES" once they leave the womb...and thank you for being yet another righty who helps me prove it :)

I could envision us mirroring some of the 1950’s public policy in finance, economic, and taxation realm going forward.

A booming economy driven by government spending, the introduction of taxing excess corporate profits, top individual tax rate between 84.357% to 91%, modest home building, Cellar-Kefauver Act or more emphasis toward maintaining a competitive market place.
Essentially an economy focused on the many rather than few or an economy some of the D-candidates (Warren especially) aspire to create. You know, the “Socialism” of the 1950’s. Yeah, it was Capitalism then and still would be now.

However, the social public policy of the time was a disaster and apparently what many right wingers aspire. It was the time of the KKK resurgence under Eldon Edwards, the Southern Manifesto, Jim Crow, and the isolation of women. Or the “how to” bad behavior for creating a social powder keg.

Unfortunately, the aspiration for the social 1950’s—conjuring our deepest demons—impedes us from mirroring and implementing—our better angels—the economic ideals of the 1950’s in this country.

No, they wouldn't be 'punished'. They would be free to work on their marriage in order to reap the benefits (both fiscal and otherwise), or choose not to if the financial rewards (and their kids' happiness) don't matter enough to do so.

And I explained several times how it would be paid for. All of that money NOW going to voluntary sole parents.

Right...so you want to punish people for not staying in a bad marriage. Got it.

if people could make enough money with only one parent working, many would, do republicans plan to raise the min wage and start helping the working class instead of the rich for once?

Again, it would be their choice, so punishment is not involved.

But if you like to think of it as punishment, then all poor married people with kids are currently punished for staying married (not being entitled to sole parent benefits).
