I earn too little for a premium subsidy, I owe no income tax, I don’t qualify for the State of Texas Medicaid program so what has ACA done for me and others in my situation? Nothing. If I was eligible for a subsidy I could afford to pay for health insurance. Aren’t I and those in my same situation the ones’ ACA was suppose to help. I find it odd that on the Obama Care website, providing affordable health insurance and subsidies to those who prior to ACA could not afford coverage; isn’t listed as one of the reasons for passing the PPACA. (insuring the uninsured). Guess they/you had to delete that since you found you couldn’t or it was to costly to do so. You lied to the American people in order to pass this law when nearly 50% of voters were against it. Now you are failing to deliver what you promised. You never said, “ If you are working but earn too little we won’t give you a subsidy. You never said that those working full time earning too little (based on your formula) would be forced onto a welfare program called Medicaid. All full time workers should be eligible for a premium subsidy. Welfare/Medicaid should be reserved for those unable to work full-time jobs. Period. Shame on you and the Democrat majority that hastily passed this law without giving it due consideration. Your response to my comments is requested. Thank you, XXXXXXXXXXXXX this email sent to Obama care website. Those working full-time jobs earning just below the poverty level, for various reasons. Such as full-time students, starting a business, forced to take lowering paying job; are left out of ACA and told to apply for Medicaid if their State expanded it. So what if their State didn't expand it. Then what? No one seems to talk about this new "donut hole". These are the very people that needed subsidy. What a crock of you know what.
I have posted about it before. The responses you will get add up to "It is the GOP's fault that the democrats enacted a messed up system with no GOP votes."
The "donut hole" only exists in states where the governors refused the funds to expand medicare. This was supposee to be a part of the program specifcally to prevent this. So you can thank the leadership of your particular state for your issue, not Obama Care.
You mean the problem that it doesn't go far enough and that it has to expand to include everyone? Yeah that's an actual problem that needs to be addressed.
