That all depends on if you ride like a moron or not.

That's those squids that I was referring to.

The poor guys that actually ride those sport bikes responsibly get looked at just like the rest of the squids.

When you see a dummy on a motorcycle with flip flops you're probably looking at one of them.

I laid my bike down once with flip-flops and I said that's it I'm never ever riding in flip flops ever again.

Car drivers love to hate all motorcyclists based on the actions of a few. If I judged every car driver by the action of a fraction that I see doing dumb stuff on the road every day....lol

Just go on Amazon and get stickers from a lower powered bike and put on the plastics.

A lot of cops don't have a clue what they're looking at anyways

One police officer told me not to lie. He himself has an XR and one can't ride it properly when throttled down to 17 hp.

I was already starting to sweat, but he let me ride on. Nothing happened. :)

It has already happened that motorbikes have been confiscated for inspection by an expert. If someone causes a serious accident, it will always be done. If the "throttle plate" is missing, insurance will not pay. :(

Also that's like trying to ride a 400cc 2-stroke dirt bike for a long period of time at 20 miles an hour..... It's going to foul that spark plug quick.

Some bikes simply cannot handle prolonged. Of lower RPMs

Our laws are pretty loose on motorcycles.
Once you get your endorsement you can have whatever you want.

Here in Florida you're not even required to wear a helmet legally if you carry insurance but I generally wear a helmet when riding in the city and full coverage insurance is only $220 a year so you have to be a fool not to have it.

We have something really ugly here in Germany, called TÜV, "technischer Überwachungsverein", technical monitoring association. Every car- and motorbike owner must have their vehicle checked by the "TÜV" for road safety every 2 years, that costs around €100.

If the vehicle no longer is “TÜV-approved”, then its road registration expires. :(

In Japan they lay your bike on the ground and you have to be able to lift it up before you can even start your test.
Few people have bikes over 400cc.

There is an old man in his 60s that covers my weekends off at work and he is a short little guy and he has a Honda goldwing that he is able to pick up. I don't know how he does it but he can.

That bike is pushing 800 lb if not more.

Back at bone valley ATV park for a day of riding. I haven't been here since September the 25th. Basically every weekend off since then has been spent taking my girlfriend to and from doctor's appointments.

Well that hurt.... My riding day was cut short Monday. I was making a left hand corner on the red clay dirt track and the conditions were dry and I leaned the bike a bit too far to the inside and the back tire washed out from under me.

Fortunately my foot was not under the bike, but I did get body slammed on my side. On my hip and I had my arm tucked up and took the blow on my arm and my rib or ribs is pretty sore..

Nothing to go to the hospital or anything over but I did think I should not ride anymore that day. I got the bike up and rode the couple miles back to the van and loaded it by myself.

Lesson learned. I shall have much more respect for such corners in the future.

Probably not the best tire for dry red clay.
It is a dual sport tire rated 50/50. Meaning 50% on road 50% off road.

A dual sport bike does everything mediocre but nothing great. It can go off road and handle dirt roads easy enough and even light Motocross but it's not a real dirt bike, the suspension and gearing are not the same.

I can go around town on blacktop all day but it's not really great for extended highway mileage above 55.

Oh well, It can still do lots of things that other bikes can't.

Even if you made it street legal with all of the equipment a real bonafide off-road dirt bike would not be a very good choice for riding on roads.

    So everything is a compromise.

Last Sunday I rented a Kawa ZX10, rode from Hanover to Berlin in fewer than 2 hours (felt, not measured). Speedometer mostly showed over 280 km/h (174 mph).

I'm a speed junkie. If I continue like this, I'll probably die on the German Autobahn. :(

No one overtook me during the entire ride. Some sports cars tried but had to give up (probably because the drivers were too scared. Their cars would have made it).

Btw, the leftmost lane in DE is for highspeed only. Overtaking on the right is not allowed. If you're riding in the left lane and a faster vehicle is coming from behind, you should swerve to the right.
Failure to do so may result in punishment.

You might want to slow down because you can always kill yourself tomorrow on a bike... No need to be in a big hurry to do that today.

The left lane is also for overtaking here. Nothing pisses people off worse than some idiot camping in the left lane.

If you are being tailgated or passed in the left lane, it's time to get your ass over.

The people from up North that come down here are notorious for camping in the left lane.

So I finally got this mullet net I've been looking at for years.

It's a 6-ft cast net with one and a half pounds of real lead weight per radius foot. One and a quarter inch mesh. What this means is that compared to a 6 ft net with 5/8 mesh and 1 lb of weight per radius foot.... The thing will sink incredibly fast, which is important if you plan to catch larger fish in any more water than a couple of foot.

If your net doesn't sink fast enough and deep water the fish just swim out from under it before it gets on top.

A good cast net isn't cheap and a cheap cast net isn't good. It's truly one of those you get what you pay for things.

A cheap 6-ft net is about $40 while a good quality 6 ft net is anywhere from 80 to $130.

But if you get out there and put it to good use, you will quickly catch more fish than it's worth.

The first place I have in mind is a small pond that is full of 2 to 3 lb tilapia. The last time I was there with a cheap 6 ft bait net with the 5/8 mesh, I caught a dozen of them in two throws.

I wouldn't doubt that one good throw of this net will produce about 15 fish. If you throw a 6 ft net properly it makes a circle 12 ft across.

This is also the time of year that mullet are running thick. Got to head to the coast and try for some of those.

Jamaicans improvising a fish trap. I thought about making some from chicken wire myself but it's probably illegal.... Of course I'm sure it depends on specific size and so forth

Happy Hunting - I'm lookin' forward to the pics.

All of our streams and marshlands are flooded right now. We couldn't buy a drop of rain in November but Mother Nature is making up for lost time. Hopefully, we'll be in for some snow soon....

Finally talk to my friend into going to the place I have spoke of.

I have been there five times and not seen one cop. Now for me it's not that important for me, because my bike is tagged like any other vehicle that can operate on a public Road.

But naturally he jinxed us and of course we saw a cop and it was the one that pulled us over
    ..

His four wheeler can't be legally operated on public roads.

You got about 5,000 acres all together. There are tons of blacktop roads that are barely maintained but yet are still public roadways...
And not much but woods and trails everywhere in between.

There are only several ways in and out and they have cameras on poles..... My minivan slides under the radar because I have tinted windows and my motorcycle which is also street legal.... Is inside of the van.. not visible from outside.

His four wheeler on the other hand, totally visible in the back of his pickup. I think they actually watch the cameras and they were basically waiting for us to park.

Which we did and rode around for several hours before the cop finally found us. He just gave him a warning and told me I was fine because of the way my bike is tagged and as long as I was not found off-road on private property.

People have been riding out there since before I was crapping in my diapers and I am mid 40s.

But they are starting to crack down on it. On one of what you could call the main roads.... I passed what was obviously an undercover cop in a gray Dodge ram going the opposite direction.... At about 55 mph and my four wheeler buddy was right behind me.... Sure enough I see the cop do a u-turn

No lights are active at this point. But instead of being an idiot and trying to make him come chase us down on the real back roads... I stopped and we had a good little chat and the cop warned my friend and that was the end of it.... Plus both of our vehicles were parked not a block and a half away on a back road and I know the cop had probably already ran our tags and new our names.

My friend got a free first past warning and we loaded up and went home shortly thereafter.

He won't go back out there but I am totally legal and won't hesitate to go when I get ready.

Now if we would have tried to run from him like a jackass.... The situation wouldn't have gone near as civilly. Even though no lights were active yet it was obvious it was a cop and he was coming for us

But you have to be a special kind of stupid to try to run and you know they already have seen your license tag.

Not pictured as his pickup truck facing my back as I took this picture.... They already knew our names as soon as they drove by and ran our tags.

You can see that the county cuts the grass but that's about all of the maintenance that happens out there.

My way had a Honda Shadow. 750cc but could out run my Suzuki Boulevard at 800 cc. It was a fine piece of machinery. Shaft drive and could take interstate traffic through Atlanta with ease.

    @Jack Hays
Here are the 11 mullet that I caught today scaled and getting ready to be gutted and decapitated. It's much easier to take care of them today than it is to wake up tomorrow and have to deal with.

So I found a nice spot to clean my fish. Now I don't have all the mess at the house. But I am back home getting ready to smoke them tomorrow.
The largest one on top of the cooler is 15 in

I really flubbed up a good throw, a big school was near the dock and I got excited and threw the net and it was a crappy throw and I only got two fish when I should have got 10 at least...

Oh well, gives me a good excuse to go back over there next week or the next one or so.

I did get a good mess of fish so I'm in no way shape or form disappointed

Or as Hillary Clinton might like to say... I ain't in no ways tired of going over there to go fishing ! Lol I always keep my hot sauce right in my purse just in case I might have to eat me some fried mullet !!!!
