Mine would be the 1953 classic "House of Wax" starring Vincent Price. I own the 3D Blu-ray version and I am amazed how that paddle ball leaps out of the screen right toward your face. I wish the 3D movies today would have great pop-out effects.

The old ones give me a headache. I am not a fan of 3D anyways.

Avatar. No other movie has come close to using 3-D to that effect.

    Agree.
If you watch Avatar in 2D you'll notice how mediocre it is by itself and how much it gained by the flawless and imaginative 3D work.

I remember that movie, however, I never saw it in 3D. To my knowledge, it has never been released on Blu-ray 3D.

Wish they used it creatively, but alas Hollywood would rather make stupid (*)(*)(*)(*) that is not worth watching.

I agree.. The wife and I went to see the most recent Jurrasic Park at the IMAX 3D theater recently. The best 3D effect was the IMAX 3D advertisement they ran before the movie started.

Avatar. Still hasn't been another movie on that level, and it was basically the first one.
