Second, yes, CNN messed up that video of Smith's sister.

Your assumption is that it was deliberate, and probably a high-level decision.

The logical conclusion is that they used the wrong clip in that report, showing the wrong sister. A mistake, not a lie.

It would have been an interesting story to contrast the opposing reactions of both sisters. You can certainly say that they chose to highlight the call for peace instead of the call to take the violence to the suburbs. That doesn't strike me as a terrible choice to have made. Should CNN be fanning the flames by broadcasting the most incendiary statements? That strikes me as irresponsible.

Conservatives have told numerous lies themselves, the two biggest being:

1. They claim the victims sister said to burn down white businesses and neighborhoods. Yet, no such video exists of the victim's sister stating such a thing. She did incite riots though, which she should be arrested for.

2. Conservatives claimed white people were being dragged from their cars and beaten. Yet, no such evidence seems to exist of that happening.

 

There are way more whites in America than blacks.

Logic indicates that white people would be the victims of most crimes period, since they are the majority. If I go to China's I'd expect the the Chinese to be the majority of victims of crimes, since they are the majority.

There were 3.8 million violent crimes committed in the United States in 2010.

So even taking your numbers at face value, less than 10% of violent crime was black-on-white.

Going further, blacks were 50% more likely to be a victim of violence. Whites should count their lucky stars.

 

Ever since Obama took office, the DOJ dumps Hispanics in with whites in crime statistics.

So, the actual number of white violent crime is really low.

Whites aren't naturally violent.

Here's a recent one. Three black people beat and burned a white woman to death and one of the perpetrators admitted it was "because they hate white people." Were they tried for a hate crime? Of course not. Hate crimes are apparently only for whites to be prosecuted for.

And it should be noted that blacks, as 13% of the population commit approximately 50% of all crimes. Slightly disproportional, don't you think?
