There is only one economic system...capitalism. Socialism is merely a redistribution scheme, Communism is better termed state-capitalism, and "communism" is the porn star of socio-economic systems [pure fantasy].

Now that we have that settled :), capitalism does have its issues [as does everybody and every thing], but its benefits [just in the last 20 years alone] have lifted billions worldwide out of abject poverty.

This is an incredible accomplishment that nobody knows [or seems to care] about as the left and its handmaidens in academia and the MSM drone on about systemic oppression of all flavors as well as the emotional stresses endemic to living a first world life.

The main problem with the capitalist system [as I see it] is its reinforcing of the 'something for nothing' desire that seems to be at the very root of human motivation. The fact that you can send [invest] money to a company and receive a percentage of its profits [for doing absolutely nothing] seems just plain wrong.

Since there does not seem to be a practical way around this issue, it's just part of the cost of doing business, but the trade off is enormous [on the positive side]. Just look at what we enjoy today as a result of a system that captures the human spirit and enterprise like no other. Most of us live with luxuries that could not be imagined a very short time ago.

Many people view hyper successful business people as somehow less than human, but these are the folks that have [generally speaking] done what the rest of us cannot [or will not] do, and for this they deserve their three Ferrari's or six houses [or whatever else materially justifies doing what they do]. I am sure that most of these folks find that having such things gets old fast. After all, how much crap do you need?

All things are full of contradiction...economics, religion, politics, philosophy, you name it. In order to be ok with this reality, one must find the balance and realize that it is our intellectual understanding of the world that creates this duality. If you choose to only see the problems, the deficiencies, and the ugliness that is human existence, then you have rightly secured yourself a place in Hell.

It is also your choice to see the good...the progress, the beauty, the compassion that exists side by side. At the very least, if you choose the dark side alone, do everybody a favor and keep to yourself. Proselyting this sort of negative imbalance is one of the main reasons so many young people are having such a difficult time today. Cut them a break and ease up!

In the end, our lives are short, so take the advice of the sages that figured it out a long, long time ago...seek balance and help others do the same.

Cut out all the -isms and let people interact with each other of their own volition. The bad actors will be singled out and dealt with completely

I saw the title and thought this was gonna be a serious discussion, but in your first sentence you proved that you don't even know what an economic system is, much less what may or may not be wrong with one.
