    Yep, that is what I heard. If it is not true then I am sure there are some statistics which can disprove it.

    If the law hasn't been repealed then it's enforceable. The SCOTUS decided a single case based on it's individual merit. The man trampling on the flag could have and should have been arrested and sent to trial. His attorney could then cite the SCOTUS case, with the presiding judge deciding if was a proper defense or not.
