Yes, we're pushing away these voters because disgusting individuals dependent on Government and we threaten to tak away their free stuff!

You Democrats are intentionally growing a dependent class of people who are completely and totally reliant on the Government for their lives. WTF? How can you possibly celebrate that? Republicans are the ones paying taxes, Democrats don't do (*)(*)(*)(*) except recycle taxpayer money through a Government paycheck, they don't pay taxes!

So basically you are forcing Republicans to pay for the disgustingly dependent demographics of this country and then have the nerve to rub it in our face that you are a bunch of weak people dependent on Government for everything in your lives tot he point you have to vote for the party that gives you free stuff?

You should be morally outraged, if you were a real American.

Uh-huh...sure. Is that the same "ROBERT REICH" , former Clinton Sec. of Treasury, who took advantage of the ENDING of the multi-year moratrium for Adminitration members going into private sector work with whom tye dealt as Cabinet members, UNDER CLINTON? Who then IMMEDIATELY went to work for CITIBANK,as ENRON'S ACCOUNT MANAGER?

That "Robert Reich"? Does he plan to try to pay back the MILLION$ he helped Lay, Fastow etal., leech from ENRON employee pensions?

We have a whole lot of Republicans collecting unemployment, here in Vegas. It's sad. Both they and the Democrats we know who are out of work, really want to work. So are those Republicans disgusting individuals?

So you are implying that because the republicans have blocked the democrats the last 18 months that they will be forgiven for their first two years?

I think its more likely that they will throw out Obama to go with the rest of the garbage they've already thrown to the curb. The American people voted in republicans precisely to block the democrats and their stupid policies or lack thereof. They are doing exactly what we put them there to do.

You believe that America will forgive Obama's first two years, even though you admit they sucked but I say that they are not that stupid. They do not want a repeat of Obama or the democrats for another 4 years.

The difference is the REpublicans realize the only people who can save us are the private sector entrepreneurs and investors and Democrat Government is doing everything it can to drive these people into hiding.

I always ask myself, why do hispanics hate the Arizona' law when my wife fully supports it, then I have to remind myself, they lie to achieve their goals. Legal residents who immigrated legally do not wish to allow illegal immigration. While my father in law does somewhat sit on the fence, my wife has no relation with illegal aliens. Most hispanics, actually most non whites support the GOP they are mostly confused about the rhetoric, I wish the GOP would open up a bit more, than minorities would see who really truly wants them to succeed.

Prove that quote, I contend that the democrats end up causing more wage loss and job loss than republicans, you can not legislate jobs, you have to free yourself of government control to see real job increases! Why do you think Germany has relaxed regulation is that past few years, they finally saw the light, you can not control your way to prosperity.

I assume you say this because she is hispanic?

After she is arrested a few times for "driving or walking while brown", she may feel differently.

Why are you telling us all this?

Doesn't it make you and the Marxists at Huffington Post happy to think that Republicans have cut their own throat and are doomed to lose this election and every other election in the future?

Yet you sound almost gloomy about it as if you really care.

Well the difference between us is that I'm an Independent who can criticize Obama and the Dems when they are wrong and acknowledge them when they do well. YOu are blinded by party / ideology so do not have objectivity.

Actually, the GOP is doing nothing for entreprenaurs. They are fighting to give our taxpayer money away to Global Corporations in the form of special breaks and subsidies. They are fighting to make sure the banksters who were Too Big To Fail, stay that way and never have to pay for their mistakes. But they are not fighting for companies that are actually "American" i.e. hire 90%+ American employees and pay 100% of their taxes in America (as opposed to off-shoring it the way the GOP has facilitated).
Big Companies aren't going to save us unless government uses both the carrot and the stick.

Only a clueless lib pretending to be an independent would think that the Republicans with control of only the House of Representatives could fix everything Obama did wrong.

Democrats still hold the Senate and Obama still sits in the White House yet you expect the Republicans to rule the roost in Washington?

That's not very rational for someone who alleges to be an independent thinker.

What the Tea Party Revolution accomplished in 2010 was to put a halt to the Obama/liberal Democrat madness.

They prevented Obama from doing even more damage than he has already done.

Think of it as stopping the bleeding.

But the real healing requires removing him from office along GOP control of the Senate as well as the House.

I never said they could or were even expected to "fix everything". I never even implied they were expected to fix a lot. However, not making complete asses of themselves would have been okay. At this point, they ahve made themselves the obvious "Party Before Country" group. And really, what have they even tried to accomplish? Two budgets that don't decrease the deficit or even specify which loopholes will supposedly be closed? Refusing to raise the debt ceiling until Moody's states clearly that was the reason we got a credit downgrade?
In addition to the GOP doing poorly in the eyes of everyone BUT their followers, they have indeed tanked with women and minorities. Finally, Obama has done well on several fronts (again, to anyone but those blinded by ideology / party)and the economy and unemployment have improved. None of this bodes well for Romney. it's okay, the GOP will have both the House and Senate.

It sure sounds like sour grapes from a disappointed Obama supporter as you ignore His Majesty in the White House and the Cowboy Poet Harry Reid who controls the Senate and just make faces at the Republicans who only have the House to their discredit.

Not that I think John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have done as much as they should have with the great victory handed to them in 2010.

Rather than stand up to Obama they have largely tried to split the difference with him which has really disappointed the Republican base.

But if they had stood up to Obama and challenged him on the budget I think they would have disappointed you and the Democrats even more.

Well they haven't presented a budget that reduces the deficit or even specifies the supposed tax loopholes that would be cut so really, they're kinda at zero in that regard. I mean seriously, I don't think Obama walks on water. I have posted about tons of things that he's done with which I disagree.
And that would be the difference between us. I am objective. I can see the positives and negatives of both parties. You can't.

Speaking of budgets, Obama's budget failed to get a single vote in congress from the Republicans OR the Democrats.

That sounds like a president who is not only miles apart from the GOP but even his own party.

You scold the Republicans in the House for not balancing the budget as if the Democrat Senate or the Obama White House would agree to cut spending other than defense.

I wish the Republican establishment in Washington wanted to cut spending more than they have proposed, but that would only inflame libs and so-called independents more than they already are.

Your arguments are weak but okay. Defense is the one area in which drastic cutting SHOULD take place. All the social programs the GOP wants to cut offer great emotional appeal to their base but to everyone else, we realize they are simply pandering to the emotions while eliminating less than 1% of the budget. Thrills.
Obama repealed DADT. I'm former military and have friends who are still active duty SOF. They are very happy about this. Although all he did was follow the pre-set timeline, he didn't try to spin his way into justifying a longer stay in Iraq. Works for me. He's announced the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Works for me. He got us into a Middle East conflict (which boehner and his lapdog Cantor were screaming he should do - until he did it) with full NATO backing and waddya know? A president who can formulate an EXIT strategy! Works for me. He's called for the end of Oil Subsidies. The GOP is fighting to protect them. WTF??? He and the Dems are fighting to protect and even strengthen Frank-Dodd. The GOP is fighting to make sure thos ebanks that were Too Big To Fail, stay that way. WTF???? Did I mention osama bin Laden? Those of us not tuning into Glenn Beck and Rush every day realize he had something to do with getting the guy Bush said "wasn't important". I could go on but here's the deal. I'm objective. You're not. it's that simple and actually quite easy to prove.

I understand that is what liberals think and the reason that expecting the Republicans to play ball with Obama means the GOP has to agree to his ideas about the budget.

If that's what you wanted why vote the Democrats out of office in the first place?

Anyway, while defense is the last place we should cut the budget since it will weaken our security and cost the lives of young American solders in future battles we have to face the fact that the budget and spending is out of control and unsustainable.

But since defense makes up less than 20% of the federal budget then spending reductions in defense should be no more than 20% of the spending cuts either.

The other 80% of the spending cuts should come from the social spending side of the budget.

Actually defense is the first place we should cut but you've been convinced otherwise. Let's look at the facts. The land wars we've been involved in have bankrupted us, cost thousands of American lives and given us no upside - I invite you to prove otherwise. We have a different world and a different enemy now. We could cut half our military budget - $350 BILLION dollars a year, shift our focus into technology, SOFs and Intelligence services, do a better job than we are now and save a TRILLION dollars every three years.
But the Military Industrial Complex controls a lot in this country and they will pay a lot to convince people like you that we need to keep doing exactly the opposite of what Thomas Jefferson wrote about us never using our military might to police the world or force democracy upon those who would not want it but being an example to be admired and followed.

    First?

You mean cut defense spending now and then sit around and think about other cuts later?

That doesn't sound like a good plan to me.

A more sensible approach would be to cut all federal spending by the same amount.

If libs want to cut the defense budget by 10% then also cut the social programs by the same 10%.

    And at the same time.

How about cutting defense by 30% and increasing entitles by 15%. THat is what America wants. American wants leftist policies by an overwhleming margin. This is 100% fact.

    Don't ask me.

Put the idea to those moderate, no party affiliated fence-sitters who lean over backwards toward the left anyway.

But that's not what I would do.

See here's (yet another one of) your problem. You think I am a fence sitter. But that is nothing more than the ramblings of a weak little biotch who can't think for himself. back up your BS. On what do I sit on the fence about? Oh. You got nothing? Yeah we knew that....

It takes a lot of ego to think that an entire topic is just about you.

But one of the defining characteristic of unaffiliated voters is that they have a difficult time deciding what they want and prefer to keep their options open.

Another is that they spend all their time and energy criticizing Republicans rather than Democrats.
