The GRE (and let's face it, pretty much all standardized tests) are a racket for ETS

It's not a measure of how most people will perform in Grad school, it costs about $200+ just to take the f'cking thing, and you have to pay $20+ to ETS every time you send a school your scores.

It's a racket, just like pretty much all standardized testing. But the reform-y morons will continue to argue that tying test scores to pay is producing a smarter society.
