I know someone who killed themselves with a gun, they had never been suicidal, but they had a bad week and got drunk and a gun was handy. I assure you, they would still be here if they hadn't had a gun handy.

Your trying to claim suicide is a last minute thought. It isn't. Its a process.

Since it appears that the majority of the gun deaths are by blacks and the blacks tend to vote democrat, it follows that the gun problem is a democrat gun problem. Rather than attacking the NRA, democrats need to clean their own house.

Yeah always. There is no report out their on suicides that claim people just get up one morning and decide it would be a great idea to kill myself today.
    You're exaggerating.

So, your counter argument is no you are? Anyone who stands behind 15% of homicides (when it's 1%) are police action shootings is deeply ignorant or a right-wing propagandist. You actually think the MSM would be quiet if there were more police homicides than gangbanger homicides? That is a ridiculous number that destroys your bogus "calculations".

If you have some link showing people just decide in the last minute to kill themselves I would love to see it.

The left doesn't want to look at the problem, because they know they are the source of the problem. It's easier to just blame guns, bury the issue, and brush their hands of the matter.

They would have to admit that coddling children and turning out these entitled brats is the greatest contributor to this problem.
And they are never wrong about anything so its on to adding more gun laws to the existing 22,000 gun laws and 300,000 statutes that are working so well now.

Rant? Now it's 1.5% instead of 15% because you got caught in a major error in your "calculations". Are you going to recalculate using 30% gun homicides and come clean? The number of homicides by your numbers would be around 10,000 but as of 2020 the number is 19,384 almost twice, so continue with you right-wing propaganda.

Pandering is all they have going for them. If they agreed with conservatives as to what's good for our country, they'd have nothing to distinguish themselves from conservatives. So the big con is their path to power and glory.

BTW those are made up numbers with no evidence repeated by the NRA. A fine example of pandering.

It's true people get a distorted view on how common things are based upon what the media chooses to cover, on both sides. There is a difference though. A private pilot crashes and kills himself, chances are the victim and negligent person are the same. But a commercial liner is supposed to be safe and hundreds of people are putting their lives in the hands of professionals who owe them safety. Almost all of the victims did nothing wrong. Fear of flying is supposed to be irrational. Similarly a 4th grade classroom is supposed to be safe. Not the same as ripping off a drug dealer and getting into a gunfight with him. Every person is precious, but circumstances do make a big difference.

As for the focus on AR, the idea is it's easier to get more kills with a better weapon. Usually victims run and more shots quickly means more kills. Probably would not have mattered in the last shooting, but the cops screwed up and escape capability/attempts were inadequate.

it is amusing watching a gun restrictions advocate talk about pandering. The fact is, AR 15s are rarely used to harm people but the anti gun MSM and big tech would have you believe that the only reason to own an AR 15 is to shoot down a school

what I see is a leftwing poster whose real anger is towards how the NRA musters votes against the left wing politicians she supports rather than having a real dislike for violent criminals (who almost never vote against Democrats)
