The Islam haters and the nonsense they name to back the hate!

Jesus is the messiah in Islam ("Isa"), and he's also the messiah in Christianity. Too bad he's not actually real, or he'd have come down in the last 2000 years and tried to educate people as to which religion got it right about him - this would help the war/carnage end, of course. I'd do that if I has his alleged powers, and so would any sane/caring person. So Jesus is either a complete jerk, or simply not real...either way he's not worth worshipping.

You think either god is ethical for killing virtually all the innocent animals in this "flood"? He was a monster.

 

"innocent animals", that's a good one! Tell me, what would an animal do to be guilty of? And if God doesn't exist, how can he be a monster? But let's compare God & Allah, shall we? God sent his only begotten son into the world so that all could have eternal life. Allah sent his prophet into the world to slaughter and maim all those who refuse to believe. Or let's compare Jesus and Mohammed. Jesus said to bless those who curse you and to suffer those who ill-use you. Mohammed said to strike off the heads of the unbelievers. Are they seriously morally the same? Are you seriously that mentally ill?

 

In a perfect world I'd preface every mention of god with "if he even exists".

That's just it, animals are NOT GUILTY, yet the Christian's barbaric god, er, uh, if he even exists (whew) slaughtered them because he's to stupid to come up with a better solution - despite being all-knowing, allegedly. What a monster (if he even exists.) I bet you, xwsmithx, and your family are creative enough to come up with a solution that wouldn't involve slaughtering virtually all the animals, who had nothing to do with man's condition, am I right? I bet your family is that creative - am I right?

 

Didn't read whole thread. Am an atheist with no love for any institutionalized religions:

1. If a Methodist committed some atrocity and claimed it was in the name of Jesus, John Wesley, etc., you wouldn't be able to turn a corner in your car without seeing outrage, denial, condemnation from Methodist congregations at every intersection, and it would go on for weeks and months. With all the atrocities in the name of Islam, you don't see anything near that rational response. In fact, a horrifying number of polls (as flawed as they are) show majority Islamic support for some of the worst. most regressive human rights problematic Islamic positions.

A religion of peace would HARSHLY EXPEL, and even HUNT DOWN those blasphemers desecrating the religion and using it as window-dressing over their politics of terror and violence. A legitimate "religion of peace" would clear this up way before questioning other belief systems or seeking to impose its will on others. Yet we don't see that, or near enough of it.

2. Modern Islam is what happens when you don't have at least moderate separation of church and state built into your governing form.

3. I love immigration of anyone from anywhere, when they 1. follow the prevailing rules for legal immigration including honestly assessing and expressing their need (everyone in the world in a country less than the US is not a f-ing "refugee") 2. Embrace, learn and honor our legal system wholeheartedly over whatever system they left, including especially the LOCAL LAWS of their new local jurisdiction. 3. Willingly and assiduously strive to read and write the ENGLISH language.

Nice of you to ignore the rest of my post. Your mental processing is deficient if you can't understand that if animals can't be guilty, they also can't be innocent. Animals are just animals, and 99.5% of all species of animals that have ever lived are extinct. 99.9999999% of all animals that ever lived are dead. Obviously if the Bible is just a book of stories, then the flood didn't happen, no animals were killed, and God isn't evil. The question is whether the ideology is evil, and Christianity is not. Islam is.
