It's only a matter of time before the Dems start throwing chairs and shoes.

Well that someone was from the House’s website

    https://history.house.gov/Institution/Origins-Development/Impeachment/

"The House brings impeachment charges against federal officials as part of its oversight and investigatory responsibilities. Individual Members of the House can introduce impeachment resolutions like ordinary bills, or the House could initiate proceedings by passing a resolution authorizing an inquiry."

They got nuthin. The Democrats painted themselves into a corner that will hurt them either way. If they proceed with impeachment and do it and they don't have the votes. It will fail in the Senate, that hurt the Republicans with Clinton. If they fail to proceed with a formal impeachment, it will hurt them with their own base. Democrats in swing states will either vote no or sit it out fearing they will lose their seats. It's a Lose/Lose either way.

They better get started because the Democrats will lose their base if they don't. The Democrats have lathered them up at getting rid of Trump and then don't even vote on it. There will be a lot of liberal voters that will sit out 2020.

Gowdy, Nunez, Gohmert and a bunch of rabid GOP partisans grilled her for 10 hours on live TV. If she was so guilty, why didn’t they refer her for indictment? No, their whole purpose in holding thes endless hearings was purely political as they rightly assumed she would b the Democratic nominee for 2016. Now you guys are crying because they are taking a pag out of your book. Haha

Because she destroyed the evidence and there was no way Obama's AG would allow that to happen. Barr will take a page out of that playbook. If the Democrats fail to impeach Trump in the House, they will lose their base in 2020.

She has the votes, I think. She has no motivation to take a vote however. The longer she holds out, the worse it is for Trump. I'm pretty sure they intend to take the vote the week before the election.

The Democrat base wants action, you'll lose 'em if they wait that long.

She doesn't. There are still several dems worried they will lose their seats if they vote to impeach.

Then they don't know what is good for them. They can't get him out of office except by beating him in the election. It is the election they should worry about. Rushing the impeachment doesn't get the job done and gives time for people to get used to it. Perhaps they have lost all confidence that they can beat him in the election.

Or they can just start an inquiry based on info like a WB report.

There is nothing in the Mueller report, even if dems delayed its release until after last novembers election.

Its just an archive of leftist bitter clinging.

Which demonstrates exactly how critically-important the Dem's impeachment efforts are, and how seriously they're taking them.

No like a police station in any jurisdiction across this country. These House committees are doing the work of your local police because there was no special counsel to do it. Did Robert Mueller or Ken Starr, or Archibold Cox, orLeon Jaworski invite tv cameras and reporters into the interrogation rooms?

On another thread, someone posted from polling reports there is majority support for impeachment. If the Democrats fail to do so, they'll lose their base.

It's always been all about impeachment and the only reason the Democrats are holding these meetings behind closed doors is to hide their own lies, chicanery, corruption and incompetence. https://bongino.com/lets-be-clear-m...ment-since-7-months-before-trump-was-elected/

Right. If they had the votes they'd certainly go for it. Many of the Democrats not in the impeachment push must be getting embarrassed.

Leftists are now comparing Congress to a 'police station'. How did this sort of thinking ever take hold in the USA?

When is the vote? They failed with the Mueller Investigation. The Democrat base is expecting impeachment in the House. If they fail to even vote on it, they're gone.

Impeachment was once an act to be taken seriously by responsible adults. Now it's being used as a one party political ploy, disgracing the process and the people involved. However these politicians have no pride. shame or an interest in the precedents these actions will have in the future. There ovine supporters would never consider the long term consequences of he harm this can do to the country. Putin has played these poor fools like Sterne on a Strad.
