    One of my favorite movies.

This was produced on a very low budget for PBS. So while there is no cgi or elaborate sets, the story is a masterpiece. I absolutely love it. What would happen if you could dream reality?

I had totally forgotten about this but I believe I watched it on PBS decades ago.

I just discovered there was regular production of the movie made in 2002! I watched it last night. They deleted some of my favorite parts of the story but it was well done and worth the watch. Obviously the acting is much better! LOL!
    with
    James Caan
Lukas Haas [the kid from Mars Attacks]
Lisa Bonet [the oldest daugher on the Cosby show]

The next video after the movie, is a Bill Moyer interview with the author of the story.

I'm surprised they made a regular movie of it with a pretty stellar cast and I've not heard of it.

The movie with Bruce Davison was very good. Watched it while in Jr. High. It led me to the book by Ursula K. Le Guin, which is a masterpiece. One of the greatest Sci fi books I have ever read. Became a huge Le Guin fan (RIP). Am currently reading her Nebula and Hugo winning "The Word for World is Forest".
