The left's aggressive assault on American values continues apace

Few Americans can possibly be unaware of the radical left's campaign to destroy the traditional values that shaped this country for at least 150 years. These activists loathe this nation as founded and have long sought to erode every cultural standard of morality and decency that made this country the beacon of liberty on the planet.

They began attacking all things even vaguely religious decades ago and have successfully eroded church membership to the lowest point in our history. Judeo-Christian values were an impediment to their agenda. Black Lives Matter, for example, has made no secret of its goal to destroy the nuclear family.

For nearly fifty years, the left has worked diligently to take over our universities and now has its grip on K–12 education. Students of all ages are now carefully taught to hate America, to hate all law enforcement, to believe all sorts of nonsense such as that one's gender identity can be chosen rather than be determined in the womb. That anyone takes this particular bit of insanity seriously should be shocking, but it is now de rigueur for the properly woke.

Students are taught that man-made climate change will bring about the end of the world. That is one of their biggest hoaxes…..

Americas history and values are under non stop assault by the bicoastal secular progressive urban elites here and globally. They take over one institution after another to pervert, transform, change all that we Americans hold dear. You name the topic they have an agenda to impose their controls over how it’s dealt with. Now they are targeting our children, our culture, our religion.

 

I've never seen those things taught in any school I've been in. No doubt the radical left wants and has long been working on undermining our patriotism, national unity, and traditional values for a long time, but the school stuff seems to me to be a boogeyman that the left wants you to believe.

 

The country was founded by Europeans fleeing religious persecution and deliberately had NO STATE RELIGION. The only reference to anything religious was in the date space where it said in the year of the Lord.

To say they "spread it on thick" is an understatement. Why do you believe such language when its so obviously designed to play you?

You can blame it on "bicoastal progressive urban elites", but lot of people leave church for entirely other reasons, one of which is the politicization of religion, which you seem to be a big fan of.

 

I agree with this- and I'm not religious in the typical sense; my "higher power" is mother nature. none the less. the various religious forms humanity has used to understand life and keep itself on track generally incorporate the same values. What's critical here is that we do not have the power to adjust everything, and certainly not the power to re-write the fundamental rules of life. It's unfortunate that so many of us are unable to think for themselves, so open to the suggestions that the fundamental principles of life are negotiable and pliable. The bottom line is that what works is what we should follow- and importantly, that means works in the long term and will work for all..... not what works at the moment, or what works for some at the expense of others.

America was based on very sound fundamental values- some of which people couldn't actually live by at the time, but knew they must aspire to do so in the future. The US Constitution has long been recognized as the best in the world, and the trust in that instrument made this nation the most outstanding and respected in the world. Our problems today don't come from the documents and principles the nation was founded on- but from ignoring those documents and principles, from evading their guidance for convenience at the moment. Like children unable to think of the future, people who want what they think they want right now want to destroy what they perceive to be in their way.

I've often told people in coaching that "Today is the tomorrow we failed to plan for yesterday". We control the future by making the right choices, the sound choices today- and if we fail to do that, every tomorrow will be a day of chaos and crisis. That embodies the philosophy of the left- short term thinking, creating your own crisis one after another- and having no clue you are directly responsible for them.

Your comment on BLM is exactly that. They perceive racism of the past that is virtually extinct as controlling them today, and think that such racism can be cured with- racism, rather than changing the behavior of today which determines the destiny of the future- and thus they perpetuate conditions that insures their children will have even less capacity to thrive than they do.

 

The fight over CRT, 1619, trans bathrooms and sports, and the way current events and issues are discussed as mentioned in school board parent confrontations suggest the opponents of traditional American values, culture, and tradition are going after our youth.

 

Probably so, but I've never seen it acted out in any school where I've worked. I think you may be missing the bigger picture and more insidious threat on the societal level.

 

The founding document says much about the role of God as our creator and the source of our inalienable rights. We were founded as a nation by divine Providence. We are to have no state religion but our government was made up of mostly religious people bringing their values with them in the working of our government and laws.
