I hear what you are saying, but the winds of change are blowing.
My feeling is on the street that more and more liberals are giving up on Obama, and will be staying home on 6 November.
And with the possible exception of MSNBC, all the media outlets are increasingly critical of the man.

    Check this out;
Newsweek Magazine, long the most-liberal and Obama-adoring of all publications, had this on their cover earlier this week:

It's hard to believe, but there it is.

I hope this turns out to be true.

Me too. Four more years of Obama is fiscal suicide, not to mention our Liberty and what money we have left. <scum>

    I don't buy it.

I think as we get closer to the election, the media will get more and more frantic to get Obama elected.

By the end of October, they could all sound like Chris Matthews does now.

the media is all-in once again for Obama

what you aren't seeing are the chants, the schoolchildren being forced to sing homages to him etc.

There will be much apathy this election. All that we can hope is that there are 5% more level headed Americans that vote vs Obama voters. We need the 5% cushion to compensate for pets and the dead vote which skew Democrat.

My take is that there are at least three reasons for the current media turn away from "All-Pro-Obama-All-the Time!":

1] The media is starting to figure out that their credibility with the American People is just GONE. They are attempting here to regain a bit of "perceived objectivity" before they POUNCE during the last three weeks before the November 2012 Election.

2] Obama as a Candidate runs far better as the "Underdog", "OWS Rebel", and "Rival Outsider". Trying to sell Obama as a Washington Insider and on his record of the last four years is almost impossible. The MSM will tear Obama down, only to build him back up again as the valiant Underdog.

3] Even the MSM is accountable to the American People. If people get so fed up with the biased "News" that they simply turn it off and go YouTube viral video and internet political forums instead, how to they attract advertiser dollars?

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that the MAJORITY of the Middleclass in America has turned away from Obama. Sure, the Aristocratic Elite (inherited wealth NPR Rockefeller Socialist types), and the welfare-forever types still support Obama, but what advertiser is trying to sell to them?

The Aristocrats choose their products and services from far more "Refined" venues. Besides, they're a small niche market. The Welfare-Forever crowd to buy things, they wait for the WIC truck and social services to deliver it. So there isn't a market for MSM that only appeals to the Democratic Party's current Core constituency.

After the 2012 Election, the MSM will still have a payroll to meet, and that means being able to convince Advertisers that their product is worth the investment. If they drive too much of the Middleclass audience to alternative media by their bias, in two years, they'll be out on the street.
