As a child, one of the nursery stories I read was the little red hen. She wanted to bake some fresh bread and asked the farmyard animals for help in sowing the grain, but they were not interested in helping her. Then at harvest time, she asked the animals for help but they laughed at her. Finally, she did all the work herself and made loaves of delicious bread. The rest of the animals smelled the fresh bread and went to the little red hen and said, we'll help you eat the bread now. But the little red hen told them to (*)(*)(*)(*) off and gave the bread to her chicks. Obama reminds me of the little red hen. He has gone about quietly trying to fix the mess handed to him, trying to organize the political community, and been met by ridicule, scorn and hate at every turn from the supposedly loyal opposition. Now in the final lap of his tenure, he has begun to do what he was elected to do and ignore the guttersnipes. I wish him well in his efforts. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/18/u...s®ion=Footer&module=TopNews&pgtype=article
You're assuming, incorrectly, that Obama was ever interested in working with his opposition. "We won, you lost, elections have consequences" I believe were his exact words. Even though every President has had to deal with opposition, Obama and his sycophant supporters pretend he was the only one who has ever had any, and ignore the fact that he had basically no real opposition in Congress for the first 2 years of his Administration. But that's fine, Obama can go down in history as one of the most polarizing and divisive Presidents ever. Loyal ideologues like you will celebrate him for his penchant for "going it alone" and ignoring the country's long established system of Governance, and the hope would be that he turns enough people away from his style of Democratic socialism to harm your party brand for a long time. There's a reason you guys need to import millions of 3rd world unskilled laborers to stay in power. It's because your ideas are so stupid.
There is a kernel of truth here. Obama leads the rest of the animals trying to take the hen's bread. "You didn't bake that!" they chant in unison as they take the bread by force. Then, well-fed, they rush back to PF to post threads about how unfair the world is.
