…Well, color us unseemly, because when the media suffers, we celebrate.

And we’re not going to apologize for it. Half of America, at least, now cares about the media precisely as much as the media cares about us – that is, not at all. In fact, we actively wish it ill. We cheer when some trash website or paper folds. The frequent layoff announcements make us giddy. Sad journalists whining about how people on Twitter dare criticize them cause us to howl in delight.

Our contempt for them is a result of their contempt for us. And as individuals and collectively, we should do whatever we lawfully can to hasten the collapse of the mainstream media as an institution.

Harsh? Nah.

See, the media hates us and actively sides with our enemies. It’s always amusing how these hacks do not even bother to hide their full-throated collaboration with the people who want us silenced, disenfranchised, and/or dead, yet get all huffy when we refuse to treat them as the neutral truthtellers they aren’t. The most active supporters of censorship in our culture are members of the news media itself, bar none. They cover up Democrat perfidy and invent Republican scandals. They try to police our language. They condescend to us. They dox innocent citizens. They lie all the time. They carry water for liberal leakers. They try to get our own (real) reporters, like Townhall’s Julio Rosas, killed for refusing to follow the narrative…..

The lame stream media is fully deserving of the mistrust we the people have of them. They have manipulated us for a long time. They sell one side of the issues and assail the other side. They do it with tv, newspaper, internet biases and manipulate social media as well. They put at least a thumb on the scale regarding their telling of virtually every story and issue.

 

The media hates us and we return the favor. They are the lamestream media.

People hate. "The media" is a general term that could include millions of people. Saying the media hates is a non-starter. Getting people to believe groupings of organizations are equivalent to an individual's emotional state is how disinformation takes hold.

"The media" is no different than "the grocery stores." What they hate is losing money, that's about it.

I am not a believer in the theory that Russian bots are the genesis of most threads that promote Trumpist talking points on forums like this . But there are occasions I swear I can just smell a foreign agenda behind a thread like this based on an incredible consistency in style and substance. I don't know where you are getting your most of ideas or material, Jefferson, but boy, Putin has to be liking what you type. You need to broaden your scope of sources. The content you link is very predictable in tone, lacks depth in analysis, and mirrors what Russia has been seeding the blogsphere with for 6 years.

I used to listen to Soviet and Communist Cuban radio stations blasting anti American content like this at us, and this reads like basic propaganda from a country trying to manipulate and divide Americans and sow distrust in its institutions. . Its all very heavy handed.

 

who supported the iraq war and spread the "weapons of mass destruction" billshit? the media glorified bush and his entire administration of war criminals. the media supported trump (and still support trump) because that is what sells papers.

the media has always been owned by the most capitalist elements in society, and if you find the washington post to be insufficiently "conservative," think of some of the other people and institutions that you consider to be "rinos."

The News Media other than FOX TV is of course Democrat controlled, and of course is pussying up to the Democrats while finding any way to destroy Conservative thought and Conservative Livelihoods.

There is nothing of this one-sided attack on the RIGHT by the liberally-infested destructive media that the OP beautifully outlined that can be legitimately disputed. What part of these Big Tech Oligarchs like Twitter, Facebook, Google et al are not 100% in bed with the destructive agenda of the Democrat Party? I can't think of any, can you?

For 4 years we saw Trump being mercifully attacked with fraudulent claims by government agencies like the FBI and like the Democrat Congress. The entire media (minus FOX TV) had hissy fits over Trump having the stones to fire back and expose these D.C. swamp creatures for the scum they were and still are. Now that the Dems control 3 of the 4 major factions of our government, and control almost 100% of the media--they will stop at nothing to push their communist agenda to the max.

 

The media doesn't care what you think. They are so arrogant they think they are never wrong and they think they are doing the right thing when they omit news or slant the news or lie about the news.
