Tomorrow is the big day! I haven't missed a Cup since 1994 when I watched Juene cross the finish line! Of course the most amazing race of all time was when Makybe Diva won for the third time in 2005.

Who do we think will win tomorrow? Are you placing a bet? I spent ages going over my list, and just when I thought I was satisfied, I went over it again and somehow ended up with the top three favorites. Watched the news tonight and saw that and wondered if I should change them as I don't know the chances of backing the favored horses.

But I've got Americain, Dunaden, and Niwot as my top three. Those plus Jukebox Jury I'm betting on to either win or place, and I want to try a Duet as well. I need two horses to finish in the top three. I think either way I should win something. I got two places last year which was pretty good.

What is it with chicks and horses?

    It is disgusting.

What is the point of making a bet on the race? We all know who is going to win.
    - A horse
    - A trainer
    - A jockey.

The rest are just pointless details.

We all need to bet NOW - before the government brings it its Pokie Tax. That on top of the Footy Tax we will have to pay AND pay for our Licence To Punt - The Melbourne Cup will have to be called off next year and all the horses slaughtered for meat to feed the millions of boat people.

I know this is true because Tony Abbott said so. Or maybe it was Andrew Bolt. (I get those two confused).

    Well done Mak.

Spent the long weekend down the river.

Thanks. It was a $50 win, so that was pretty good.

Can't remember where Tullamore came in, though!
