Per capita mathematics isn't reality. Total numbers are. By per capita more blacks are shot by police, but that is not argued by whites when that comes up. We hear how more whites get shot by police. Therefore you're picking and choosing to use per capita only in cases where whites lead in total numbers. Then there is the fact that per capita creates a false hypothetical.

That is the claim that you can multiply black crime by 5 to claim that if blacks had the same population as whites, black crime woud be astronomically high. But what's left out of that hypothetical is the fact that blacks would have everything whites have which reduces poverty, unemployment and unequal representation in various American institutions. All these things would dramatically reduce crime, while whites have all these things and still lead in the total numbers of crimes committed on an annual basis.

I don't buy into the idea that material wealth produces a higher rate of morality. When I think of all the poor African Americans that were liberated from slavery in the late 1800's and beyond, I am certain many of them held to faith and a high degree of morality. When Johnson emerged his "great society" a lot of that diminished.

    The FACTS show these things:

“Bryant-Davis and Ocampo (2005) noted similar courses of psychopathology between rape victims and victims of racism. Both events are an assault on the personhood and integrity of the victim. Similar to rape victims, race-related trauma victims may respond with disbelief, shock, or dissociation, which can prevent them from responding to the incident in a healthy manner. The victim may then feel shame and self-blame because they were unable to respond or defend themselves, which may lead to low self-concept and self-destructive behaviors. In the same study, a parallel was drawn between race-related trauma victims and victims of domestic violence. Both survivors are made to feel shame over allowing themselves to be victimized. For instance, someone who may have experienced a racist incident may be told that if they are polite, work hard, and/or dress in a certain way, they will not encounter racism. When these rules are followed yet racism persists, powerlessness, hyper vigilance, and other symptoms associated with PTSD may develop or worsen.”

“On occasion, the emotional weight of racism can lead African Americans to engage in maladaptive coping, such as remaining in denial, engaging in substance use, aggression, self-blame – even in extreme cases suicide (i.e., Black Lives Matter activist Marshawn McCarrel) and terrorism (i.e., Dallas shooter Micah Xavier Johnson). These responses are harmful and lead to negative, long-term consequences.”

Proactively Coping With Racism | Psychology Today

Findings from large-scale national studies indicate that, while African Americans have a lower risk for many anxiety disorders, they have a 9.1% prevalence rate for PTSD, compared to 6.8% in Whites. That means that almost one in ten Black people becomes traumatized, and I think these rates may actually be higher since diagnosticians are usually not considering the role of racism in causing trauma.

Dennis R. Upkins, Denying Racism And Other Forms Of Gaslighting, Aug 24, 2016, Mental Health Matters, derived from: https://mental-health-matters.com/denying-racism-and-other-forms-of-gaslighting/

“Racism is part of the fabric of life for African Americans and is among the causes of enduring negative health outcomes. There is really nothing new or startling in the assertion that social circumstances encountered as part of day-to-day experience influence physical health. At the turn of the last century, W. E. B. Du Bois (1906) and Kelly Miller (1897) proposed in separate manuscripts that oppressive social conditions encroaching on the lives of African Americans contributed to poor health and premature death.

Fifty years later, Frantz Fanon’s classic studies (1967, 1968) examined the effects of oppression and included a recognition of “psychosomatic”—that is physical—consequences. Currently, social epidemiologists, health psychologists, and medical sociologists have extended the insights of these important early scholars by showing how racism generates systems and practices that contribute to persistent disparities in health outcomes.

Estimates indicate that the failure to erase these disparities costs tens of thousands of African American lives each year. As long as the rates of the leading causes of death differ along racial lines, the specter of racism will haunt the United States. The persistence of racial health disparities and of racism in any form calls scholars, therapists, activists, and political leaders to vigorous action.”

Multiple Pathways Linking Racism to Health Outcomes - PMC (nih.gov)

“Racism and associated trauma and violence contribute to mental health disorders, particularly depression, anxiety and PTSD, and chronic health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, maternal mortality/infant mortality and morbidity in African Americans. Racism is considered a fundamental cause of adverse health outcomes for racial/ethnic minorities and racial/ethnic inequities in health. The primary domains of racism - structural/institutional racism, cultural racism, and individual-level discrimination— are linked to mental and physical health outcomes. Racism and violence targeting a specific community is increasingly associated with complex trauma and intergenerational trauma, all of which have physical and behavioral health consequences.”

Trauma, Racism, Chronic Stress and the Health of Black Americans, Compilation by the SAMHSA Office of Behavioral Health Equity, June 3, 2020, https://www.mhanational.org/sites/d...RaceViolenceandHealth SAMHSA OBHE 6.3.20.pdf

Studies show that consistent exposure to adversity and marginalization causes early health declines in black Americans. Racism is a stressor that triggers the body into allostasis or better understood, and racism forces the body to adapt to stress. Allostasis is the process that helps us adapt to stress. Allostatic load is compiled damage to the body due to constant pressure. Such stress leads to allostatic overload, which is the point when the overall amount of stress causes health problems or death. For example, allostatic processes lead to increases in blood pressure, a leading cause of death in the black community.

In 2014, “Structural racism and myocardial infarction in the United States,” a study by Alicia Lukachko, Mark Hatzenbuehler, & Katherine Keyes, was published in Social Science and Medicine Journal. Their research showed that structural racism was one cause of heart attacks in black people.

“This study demonstrates adverse effects of structural racism—specifically state-level racial disparities disadvantaging Blacks in political representation, employment, and incarceration —on past 12-month myocardial infarction. These adverse effects, however, were specific to Blacks, and among Whites, indicators of structural racism appear to have a benign or even beneficial effect on cardiac health. It is important to note that individual-level risk factors including age, sex, education, income, and medical insurance do not account for these findings. Furthermore, lending support to the construct validity of our measures of structural racism, the effects persist above and beyond those of state-level racial disparities in poverty.

Measures of structural racism pertaining to job status did not follow the expected pattern of association, and were inversely associated with myocardial infarction among Blacks. While this finding was unexpected, it is in line with results from previous studies that have documented that Black Americans in high status positions report greater exposure to interpersonal discrimination. This increased exposure, coupled with potential pressures to assimilate and to defy negative racist stereotypes, may in turn place high status Blacks at greater risk for adverse health outcomes. Our results similarly suggest that Black Americans in states with greater representation of Blacks in high status positions are at higher risk for heart attack.”

Lukachko, Alicia & Hatzenbuehler, Mark & Keyes, Katherine. (2014). Structural racism and myocardial infarction in the United States. Social science & medicine (1982). 103. 42-50. 10.1016/j.socscimed.2013.07.021.

Racists have a simple minded approach and have not done the necessary research to argue about the mpact of racism in blacks or the lack thereof. The opinions here are based on your racial biases and not the facts. The fatherless black family theory was debunked quickly after Moynihan wrote his report IN THE 1960'S. And the following statement again shows the pure idiocy of your line of thinking.

"Trayvon Martin had a father. Jordan Davis had a father. Michael Brown had a father. Tamir Rice had a father. Having a father won’t protect black boys from America. " - Mychal Denzel Smith

So stop trying to repeat idiocy from people like Sowell, Williams and whatever other sellout you choose in order to try vakidatiing your gnorance. And don't try quoting Jesse Jackson like that means something.

And one final fact pertaining to the economic situation:

More than 50 billion dollars (based on 1930’s value) was spent on The New Deal and Servicemen's Readjustment Act. That is the equivalent of 1 trillion dollars today. Both programs are credited with providing a significant boost to wealth accumulation in America. Both policies excluded vast numbers of blacks who worked and paid taxes. According to the study, “Black Reparations for Twentieth Century Federal Housing Discrimination: the Construction of White Wealth and the Effects of Denied Black homeownership” written by Jane Kim,” Federal housing policies that excluded blacks from funding provided the equivalent of 1.239 quintillion dollars to create white wealth in the 20th century.

Jane Kim, Black Reparations For Twentieth Century Federal Housing Discrimination: The Construction Of White Wealth And The Effects Of Denied Black Homeownership, Boston University Public Interest Law Journal, Volume 29, Issue 135, Winter 2019 pg. 5 Microsoft Word - Final Kim Article Final Edits 111919.JK Edits.docx (ssrn.com)

Finally, I have these words for those who think like you: I see no reason that a group of people so weak that they made laws excluding everyone else should brag like it's a gigantic accomplishment because they achieved or have more than those they did not allow to compete. Blacks and other nonwhites have been able to “equally” compete in this system for just over 50 years. At 50 years of existence on this continent, whites were still in a colony dependent on Britain.

It's the truth. What cannot be taken seriously are people who rely on per capita math. I mean, using per capita math, my one dollar equals five dollars a white person has.

Nothing diminished. I am black. I was alive when the so called Great Society was started. America has never been a moral nation and for whites especially to talk about the morals of other races is extremly rich. Now had Johnson implemented the suggestions he was provided by the Kerner Commission, the economic situation between blacks and whites very well could be non existent.

    Reality.
desperately searching for another excuse so you don't have to admit what is very well studied this is very well understood is dishonesty on your part.

Essentially it's denial. It's pretty well known that having a strong cohesive family gives people a better chance at not being involved in criminal behavior then improving any of those other things you listed.

Iceland is in the US so who cares. And Whitlock is something you brought up I don't know why.

it's criticism if you're insulted by it that's your problem I would suggest learn the difference. It's not that complicated.

    An observation.

The white savior privilege rests on an acceptance of the CRT paradigm that you feel guilt for all of the white privilege you've been granted and to absolve yourself you will be the spokesman (person) speaking truth to power on behalf of the POC masses who are depending on YOU to represent their interests, because they need you to do that since they can't do it themselves.

You're a wee bit late to the party.....#107 is more "excuses"

You seem to believe the right-wing made up definition of CRT.
I just don't like willful ignorance and people that go out of their way to be mean spirited to a certain demographic because of their insecurities to make themselves feel better about themselves.

I believe there are reasons for humane behavior, there are reasons why some human rape and kill, why some human steal and lie, why some minority groups are better off than other - all this is known for average educated people. I believe there is even reason why lately Black people attack Asians.
I wonder why Martin Luther King did not say this in his famous speech:
“I have a dream that one day I will live in a nation where people will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, unless they are Black, in which case we will blame White racists for Black people's criminal behavior".

To believe Christians are any different than anyone else when it comes to marriage is to be gullible.

A lot of them I know are on their 4th or 5th marriage.

As I said and you couldn't comprehend, anyone can wear a cross and I suppose you call that person a Christian. Marriage is a foreshadow of Jesus and His Church. Any follower of Jesus takes the sacrament seriously. When two mary and profess to be Christian, then one initiates' divorce for any reason other than adultery, abandonment, or physical abuse you can follow that initiator and see they were never a follower of Jesus. No one, absolutely no one who divorces 5 or 6 times and makes a mockery of Christ and His Church as you suggested is not a follower of Jesus.

What you're saying is first an appeal to purity as in a no true Scotsman fallacy.

You can't do this because I don't like it and I make the rules for some reason.

And there are also people who are divorced that didn't want to be they have no choice. So if Christianity is off limits to them who the hell is it for at this point it can only be for people who don't get married because you can't decide to force someone to stay married to you.

Yes you've been divorced three or four times you can still be Christian you don't get any saying that and you're no expert unless you're Christ himself is that who you are?

This is why Christianity is dying you're telling people they're out and God doesn't love them because somebody divorced them.

I would implore Christians please please think before you open your mouth.

I would implore Christians, don't take a vow before God you don't intend to keep. There is forgiveness for sin, but if Jesus "began a good work in you" you will not break that vow. There is always room at the cross. Repent and learn the concept. Religion is dying, the Body of Christ?....far from it.

If you don't have any control over whether it's broken or not good shouldn't hold you accountable for that if he does he's unjust.

So think about how you're ridiculing God before you speak.
And if you have no choice **** you? Your making Jesus seem like a jerk.

Do you love him or not?
Religion is dying because you and others like you are saying God is unjust.

    You are spiting him.

If your wife or husband decides they want a divorce and proceed with one you also can no longer be Christian according to you.

If you want to help Christianity just stop talking about it.

If you came off your religiosity bandwagon and read what I said from the beginning, you would understand. I myself was divorced, twice by the same women. Was married twenty years and had three children. Before our children were born I gave my life to Christ. Then I was baptized. She followed my example. Guess YOU would say she is CHristian. When my youngest was 9 years old, she felt it was time to play the field. She divorced me. After two years and after I became interested in another woman, she suddenly decided she wanted to reconcile our marriage. I took her back in the interest of "family" but insisted we had a "Covenant Marriage". That is a marriage legal in Arizona and other states that award the marriage license to the Church. It must involve spiritual counseling and a cooling off period of 6 months should one party decide to break the Covenant. After two years of marriage, she found a "sugar daddy" 20 years her Senior who has since died. I let her out of the marriage after she told me if I didn't, "she would be the bad guy". She even told our councilor that Christians divorce all the time and Jesus had no problem with it because "people change!"

I, like you seem to suggest, felt I would never be able to serve in the CHurch as a divorced man. I still maintain a deep love for Jesus. Two years later I married my Dental office secretary whom I had known for several years. She too had an unfaithful husband that drank himself to death. She is a strong Believer. To my surprise, after two years of marriage, we had our Pastor visit us at our home and ask us if we would facilitate "Divorce Care" at our Church. We were astonished that the Pastor and Elders wanted us to serve but in hind sight, neither one of us was responsible for our divorce. God is not unjust AND He hates divorce. We facilitated for five years in a Bible based program that saw several marriages reconciled and many young people found Christian spouses that were true believers.

Now many of these spouses that caused the divorce claimed to be Christian. No one is perfect, not even Christians but there is always "one" who insists on breaking the vow. We had one such lady who, after taking and signing a pledge of "no dating" until she completed Divorce Care, became pregnant by a "new guy".

I tell you my story because people marry young and though one may have a true heart for God, they often are not mature enough to discern their mates spirituality. You may call those people "Christian" because they mouth the words and take their vow lightly. They may belong to your religious club but being American does not make you a believer. "If you confess with your mouth and Believe in your heart that jesus is Lord you will be saved". Many miss out on the "believe in your heart" part.

Perhaps you yourself have been through a painful experience. There is forgiveness for everyone and God is just! Justice doesn't allow you to water down our marriage like has been done in the culture!

I understand perfectly it's not that complicated you are dictating who is or who isn't Christian based on your feelings and nothing else.

That is ****ing evil of the highest order. You have a problem with that.

Notice I'm not trying to dictate to you that you're not a Christian for violating jesus's commandments you're just violating him out of stupidity and big headedness.

I don't think you're lost I just think you're too caught up in yourself.
if you divorced you broke your vows by your own logic.

Therefore by what you said you can't be Christian.

see how it's hypocritical to say that you can't be Christian if someone does something you don't like or you don't approve of but you think the Bible says something against?

They aren't Christian neither are you. You broke the same vows.
You really need to get this idea that you're not a true Christian if you do X the hell out of your head. That's separatist Antichrist churches brainwashing you into staying.

Every Church organization every religious organization rapes children and covers it up. To cast your lot with those people to me is about as far away from Christ as you can get.

That's what I got from your message you need to work on your messaging.

If you want to evangelize for Christ you need to learn to take criticism.

First step don't ever ****ing tell anyone that they're not true Christians. If you do that automatically everything you say is baloney.

Don't ever you give the impression that Believers take their marriage vows as something to be drug through the dirt! There was nothing wrong with my messaging. You need to read with comprehension before you go on the attack. "We know them by the fruits they bear".
See....you still don't get it. I nor many others did not initiate divorce. We were abandoned for no explicit reason. Never broke my vows, never turned my back on Christ. Never once did I consult a lawyer or ask for anything. This whole thing started between you and me because you are one that thinks marriage vows are something to be broken. You take that up with God. That is "your truth" so don't put it on the Body of Christ. You express yourself warmly in your religiosity by use of the following quote and I don't think you have any business pointing a finger at anyone!........
