My world has an under water house. I left the house in the morning then went back inside. I thought to myself I needed some more gunpowder. Just then I hear the quick hiss of a creeper taking damage. I quickly turn around but don't see it. I keep looking around and see it right above me. He followed me from outside and drowned trying to get to my house. :)

You can play survival on peaceful mode. It still gives you the challenge of finding your resources and restoring hunger but you don't have hostile mobs to deal with.

A statue of liberty that took me all of 10 minutes to build. I wanted to use a premade statue for the video but the one save I downloaded had to be "converted" and after 15 minutes of the client saying it was converting I got tired of waiting and just built this one instead.

I came across a tutorial on Chunk Mining for diamonds. Only one diamond vein will spawn per chunk. This means, obviously, if you find diamonds there won't be anymore in that chunk. Saves lots of time.

Chunks are easy to define. They're a 16x16 block. The x and z coordinates for the edges are divisible by 16. This makes it easy to locate each chunk. You branch mine a chunk on level 10. If you find diamonds then yeh! move to to the next chunk. If not you dig down to level 6 and repeat. Apparently this method gives an 80% chance of finding the diamonds in each chunk if lava, dirt, gravel or a cave hasn't replaced the diamonds in that chunk.

I currently have 4 diamonds (I had almost 30 before I went nuts and made all my armour out of diamonds and made a few pick axes) and 19 blocks of diamond ore (one of my pickaxes has silk touch). Each of those diamond ore blocks can contain up to 4 diamonds. Before this I was only finding a few diamonds a day.

Sounds pretty interesting but confusing. All things considered though I really don't need to mine diamonds for a while. I've got about 6 or 7 diamond blocks in my chest at home.

I need more because I now want to build a wall made of diamond ore blocks. Muahahahahahahah!

It does sound confusing but once you have the first chunk mapped out correctly you don't need to do anything confusing to find the next chunk. I mark the corners of my chunks with a torch placed on the ground. To locate the next chunk I just need to dig one block over and place another torch on the ground. Including that block I then just need to dig 16 blocks over and mark another torch on the ground. Repeat until all 4 corners are marked. Only need to divide by 16 to locate the first chunk and after that it's easy.

You can see in that pic what it ends up looking like. The 2 blocks that look out of place are because that's my way to get back up to the surface.
