A run for President by Tim Scott would scramble our politics, and crack both the Democrats' coalition and their usual messaging strategy.

I'm Proof Dems Are Wrong To Call America Irredeemable

For years, Democrats have spread the message that America is irredeemable, that our original sin defines our present and the future is dependent on our faith in government — not in each other.

I was born in 1965, two years after Dr. King said, “I Have a Dream,” and I am living proof that American dreams do come true.

My mom spent her teenage years surrounded by segregation. My granddaddy, her father, had to step off the sidewalk to let white folks pass. He had to drop out of school in the third grade to pick cotton.

When I was a kid, I remember granddaddy would be at the breakfast table with the newspaper in his hands. Only later did I realize he’d never learned to read it, but he was determined to set an example for his grandsons. . . .

As long as the GOP nominee for president isn't conservative like Trump or DeSantis?:roflol: Or are you falling for the dem mistake of looking at skin color to define quality? Is Tim Scott the next woke GOP candidate for president?

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

But yes, he will run "for President" as well, as part of the elitist globalist RINO strategy to deny Trump the republican nomination. His purpose is to join Nikki Haley in trying to keep Trump from winning the South Carolina primary. Both he and Haley will drop out of the race shortly thereafter. Behind the pretense of a "vast diverse field of many choices", the man who the globalist RINOs are actually supporting (and have been since at least December 2021) is Ron DeSantis, as they believe that he can peel enough votes away from Trump since they know that the MAGA voter base tends to have a favorable view of DeSantis along with them loving Trump.

The plan is to deny Trump early primary wins and then have all the pawns systematically drop out and coalesce behind DeSantis.

Trump is a sure loser in the general election. Nominating him would be political malpractice.
Desantis could win, but the Democrats have a tested play book to use against him.
Scott is a genuine conservative who would revolutionize presidential politics.

Because he's a genuine conservative with a proven track record of constructive legislating. Being Black certainly disrupts the Democrats' playbook.

He doesn’t stand a chance in the current GOP. Maybe ten to twenty years ago, but the times that would see him succeed have long past.

ALL Republicans are "sure losers" in the general (s)election. The system is rigged for the Uniparty via ballot harvesting.

That would definitely present a conundrum to Democrats wouldn't it? After all voting against him would be racist. At least that's what we heard about Obama, you didn't vote for him because he's black.

I'm sure the Democrats' leaders hope that true. I suspect it's not.

What makes you think "woke" applies here?

Agreed. It won't stop them from doing it. All one has to do is watch the ladies of the View to see this behavior though. Ask Joy Reid. There are so many elite black liberals who will gleefully try to force that label on Tim.

You should go argue with the people who say things like that.

That line of logic didn’t get Ben Carson elected. Why do you think it would work here?

My apologies for butting in. Scott is far superior to Carson as a campaigner.

Maybe, but the argument is that Dems would self destruct if they had to vote against a black man. Carson’s race didn’t seem to help on that front. I doubt Scott will do any better if that’s all he has going for him.
