    Roots of Ascent

    The Reformation
    1. Natural Law over human decree (sola scriptura)
    2. Human equality. Priesthood of believers, no divine right of kings or popes.
    3. Freedom of conscience. Religious tolerance vs bigotry.
    4. Higher power over all humanity.. no special dispensation for a ruling elite.

    The Enlightenment
    1. Natural law. Inherent right to life, liberty, & property, given by God or nature.
    2. Government as servant and protector of individual rights.
    3. Self rule, representative govt.

    Age of Reason
    1. Orderly thought and rational conclusions trump elitist whims & decrees.
    2. Logic and critical thinking vs superstition or fearmongering.
    3. Locke, Watts, and others still define human rationality & logic classes.
    4. Question authority & the status quo.

This primordial soup of thought and ideology spawned the Experiment in self rule known as America. It was predicated on the proposition that all men were created equal, and had certain unalienable rights. Citizen representatives, not an elite ruling class were to safeguard the rule of law that was over everyone.

    Pillars of American Ideology

    1. The Constitution. Rule of Law vs elitist decree.
    2. Citizen Representatives. No aristocracy or ruling class.
    3. Govt as servant, not lord.. to secure & preserve the rights of the citizen's life, liberty, and property.
    4. Acknowledgment of a Higher Power that is the source of rights, wisdom, and prosperity.

This human experiment floundered at times, forgetting its mission statement, and engaged in a gruesome civil war to clarify the importance of human equality. Scoundrels and deceivers came and went, but the majority of Americans held fast to the dream.

The dream of America peaked mid 20th century. We had just finished a great world war against human aggression and totalitarian conquest, but the seeds of conflict could be seen in Marxist Communism, which was spreading in the aftermath of war.

    1. Communists and sympathizers were seen as enemies of America and human liberty.
    2. "In God we trust" was added to the currency.
    3. "Under God" was added to the pledge of allegiance.
    4. Prayer to a Higher Power was allowed and encouraged in public schools.
    5. Moral values were esteemed, crime was low, church attendance high, and an unprecedented time of prosperity came to America.
    6. Civil rights for the descendants of slaves, freed in the last century, gained traction in this atmosphere of justice and freedom.
    7. Public debt was declining since the war, and continued downward to the 1970s.
    8. The family structure was recognized as the basic building block of human society.

    Roots of Decline

    Progressive Ideology
    1. Gained foothold in America early 20th century.
    2. Promoted Marxist collectivism, elitist superiority, and moral relativity.
    3. Law was not absolute, but was fluid and subject to changes in interpretation, depending on the circumstances. Situation ethics; moral relativity.
    4. There is no Creator, but all living things are accidents of nature, with no moral imperative or natural rights.
    5. Govt replaces god, & is the caretaker of all wisdom and the source of social directives.
    6. Govt can provide and meet all human needs: The Great Fiction.
    7. Money is a commodity and can be declared. If we need more, print it.
    8. The traditional family is an archaic remnant that must be destroyed for state centered social engineering.
    9. Science and knowledge can be declared by the state.
    10. Indoctrination of youth by all complicit institutions controlled by progressive ideology.
    11. Revisionist history, propaganda, and phony narratives take the place of reason, facts, or empirical reality.

Progressivism had a pause during ww2, when traditional American ideals were needed to defeat totalitarian aggressors. But by the 60s, the progressive attack on traditional American values was well underway. Schools, the media, entertainment, and every branch of govt slowly became infected with progressive ideology until any influence from traditional values was fogotten and censured.

So where are we now? Progressivism has gotten stronger and bolder, and has become the state religion. Every year, hordes of indoctrinees from the state run propaganda centers spew into society as proselytizers for Progressivism. An ever shrinking number of Americans with traditional values are bullied, censored, or shamed to silence by the religious bigotry from these indoctrinees. The tools for the subversion of America are these:

    1. Revisionist history. Distort the facts of history to promote the desired narrative.
    2. Propaganda. Pound the drum of lies & false narratives until they are believed as facts.
    3. Censorship. Forbid any alternate expressions or views.
    4. Mandates and decared 'truth' is to be believed over facts, reason, or any critical thought.
    5. Indoctrination. Progressivism has infiltrated all public institutions, and presents unified, constant, and effective Indoctrination on each generation coming from their institutions.

I see the election of Trump, which shocked and surprised the progressives, as a last gasp for traditional Americans. But with the constant indoctrination from progressive institutions, and the importing of pliable 3rd world tools of subservience, the American is a dying breed.

America has not been conquered from without, but subverted from within. The ideology that formed the basis for America is attacked and subverted by the anti American ideology of Progressivism.

Hence the feverish unabated singular drive of the establishment to get rid of Trump by any and all means.

Trump does not follow the progressive agenda, of destroying the American Experiment. Therefore, he is hated with all the rage the left can muster..

..which, judging by the violence and hostility toward America, is a lot.

Progressive indoctrinees, churned out of progressive Indoctrination centers for decades, have raised the anti-American sentiment to revolutionary levels.

..another civil war is likely in our future..
