It was inevitable. The right has long warned that if you let gays wed, then other minorities are going to want their piece of the pie. It's a slippery slope leading to anyone marrying anyone (or in this case, anything). It's ridiculous. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...rriage-mac-wedding-computer-Florida-Utah.html This guy wants to marry his computer.
Get government out of the marriage business. State, federal, whatever. Let the law focus on property rights regardless of whether the parties squabbling over assets call themselves spouses or not.
Gays are responsible for a lunatic in Florida, it all make sense. Hey, who started this whole get married thing in the first place? We really need to hammer those slippery slopers aggressively, if it wasn't for them this would never have happened: http://him.uk.msn.com/in-the-know/images.aspx?cp-documentid=157561753&page=6
Oh you mean a troll...who specifically doing it to make it seem as if that slippery slope is real? Nice try by a conservative troll. Falls flat when he specifically admits he's doing it in protest of gay marriage.
I agree with the slippery slope. If we ban say marriage pretty soon we are going to start banning other forms of marriage like interracial marriage, marriage between people from different socioeconomic backgrounds and different religions.
We should either ban all marriages or allow all marriages. There is no "equal protection" in between.
When Mr. Sevier's computer is capable of consenting to a legal contract, then he can talk about marrying it. Until then, (*)(*)(*)(*).
There is already a thread on this story here: http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=354948 It's not a slippery slope because a computer cannot give consent.
Hey guess what never gonna happen. Two consenting adults, I doubt the computer is consenting, or maybe....... - - - Updated - - - How do you know this, have you really sat down and talked to yours, come on give it a crack
This is nothing new and is not even remotely related to two people who choose to marry each other. Married to the Eiffel Tower - Watch Free Documentary Online http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/married-to-the-eiffel-tower/
Well, too many marry for money these days. One crazy fella I heard wanted to marry a picture of a pretty girl so then anyone else he dated or cheated with would not ask him to marry. Or perhaps marriage fell out of the mainstream after all the revisions of its definition.
That and most of these "rights" people allegedly are cheated out of are rights in relation to the other party, not society and with each one there is a winner and a loser.
