As we all know the sun doesn't have an infinite amount of fuel. Everyone is talking about climate change but the real issue we are facing is how we are going to refuel or replace our sun before it runs out of gas in the next couple of decades. We need to be looking at ways of towing an new star into the centre of our solar system or looking into ways of harvesting the fuel of a distant star, transporting it and refueling our sun. I'm not sure which option is more viable. I'm sure a lot of you much smarter than me and could tell me which is the most viable option and what plan is in place . This question is a real worry of mine and keeps me up at night. AND I'm sure I'm not the only one!!!
As a Christian, none of this bothers me at all. God knew what he was doing when he created the Sun, and eventually HE will be the light source.
You ain't got nothing better to worry about? How the heck are you going to pull a star? I think we be safe from this calamity for a long time.
Or we can, you, just spread out and colonize other planets orbiting younger stars. We'll probably need to anyway due to population issues. That aside, by the time we reach the point where the sun will go nova, we will most likely have advanced enough to have developed transportation technology and be on a level to create Dyson Sphere size structures. So in addition to spreading out and colonizing the stars, we can find a young star with no planets in the comfort zone (and hopefully no other life that exists outside that), or no planets period, and build transporter grids around them, and swap them out.
It's mass. Mass can be moved. The biggest thing will be the how. But we have a few million years to figure that out.
If this was supposed to be some kind of satire, it fell flat. To work, satire has to closely mirror the real world. This didn't.
Wow, talk about a complete science failure. Not the next couple of decades, try in over 500 million decades. Of course, by that time it will not even matter to anything on the Earth, because it will be consumed by the Sun in the red giant phase. So when it actually does run out of fuel, our planet will either be a burnt cinder, or have been completely destroyed by the tidal stresses. But either way, that is over 5 billion years in the future.
The planet Satire is the only planet in the solar system has a ring around it . And yes we're all aware planets are flat, just like the earth (hardly relevant ) . What I don't get is why bring up the planet with the ring, and suggesting it's capable of mirroring the real world (earth)? Why are you suggesting that particular planet..... Hmm ? As we all know the ring produces light and illuminates the planet, so you think it's plausible the ring also produces heart? If so, I think you may be onto something!!! Perhaps it's possible that particular planet is capable of operating independently of the sun and capable sustained life when the sun goes out!!! VERY INTERESTING AND THOUGHT PROVOKING!!!! and admittedly not something I've thought of until you mentioned it. Have you crunched the math?
Perhaps by attaching some sort of kite then letting the solar winds (presumably if they are blowing in the right direction) propel the mass to a desired location?
Provide the evidence that it is happening in Gen Z's lifetime, yet alone in the next couple of decades.
That dying is excruciating painful in a way we cannot even comprehend, (as in the event is literally horrific painful for every living thing no matter how it happens or how peaceful it may seem to others), and also the concept of time stops the moment before death. So you're stuck in agony for what may aswell be eternity. My second biggest fear is this! As it's something we're ALL going to have to suffer, there is no escape , this is our fate, our destiny.
How longs a piece of string? Who knows how long gen z are going to live? We could be hit by an event that wipes out gen z tomorrow. So it's an impossible task

Nobody implied that. You stated that the sun would run out of fuel in a few decades and we corrected that notion. The fuel supply is not infinite but it is very substantial - enough to burn for around 5 billion years according to cosmologists. The falsity is in the information that led you to post what you posted.

I don't need to quote, you said it. I'm assuming you can still remember. Simply look up at the sky!!! How much more evidence do you need?
Have you been up there and personally measured the amount of fuel left? Cosmologist , cosmolashist. What do these pen pushers know. All you need to do is actually look up at the sky and is as clear as day it's running out of fuel at an alarming rate!!! It's even getting so low there has been a huge increase in solar flares of late, the distress flares are being sent out because it's reaching crisis point up there!
