I know plenty of black people and NONE of them have been arrested. What say you? Luck? Hardly. They're all college educated, talk intelligently, have families, drive nice cars and yet haven't been harassed by cops in their adult life. Who would've thunk it? However, I have a white co-worker who sports a lot of ink, rides a Harley and has been accosted a number of times at bars by cops and staff. Doesn't help he sort of has an attitude problem with authority. SHOCKING that HE has more problems with all those racist cops than my black co-workers. How is that possible?

I've never felt the need to wear jeans at my knees or a hoodie hiding my face when entering a store. Never been arrested either.

So should I post a link from a right wing hack, or from a left wing hack. Most links that are posted are from sources that skew numbers. Take any situation, listen to Foxnews report it or post a story about it. Then switch over to MSNBC and listen to the same story, and read their take on it. I bet the bank each story would read completely different complete with "facts".
My opinion is an informed composition of many different sources combined with real life experience, unlike many on this forum links or no links.

There's good and bad in that article. Seems like the police officer who retired was not a goof fit for the job, and the one who reported him... he reminds me many folks wearing a badge understand the problem and are trying to fix it.

I totally agree taxpayer. I only posted the link to make a point. To those who want to believe racism doesn't exist, or some cops do not target certain sectors of our society, I say you are wrong. You would have to willingly choose to NOT see this abusive practice to say otherwise as some on this forum for whatever reason enjoy doing. This thread is about Travon Martin and how because of the way he dressed deserved getting attacked and shot. The pictures I saw of his attire were not the extreme pics some posted on this thread. Racism has been around since mankind could first figure out we are not all alike. White on Black racism in America has been scourge on our society, and continues to be so. Reading some posts here I have zero confidence it will ever be erased.

As stats show white people are angels.. I mean the rate % isn't almost identical or white ahead on crimes committed not to mention there are 3 times as many whites yet way more blacks qrrested. But your right.

And as the video shows there is no difference between ration time stopping white vs black stealing a bike.. no evidence at all blacks are profiled at all

 

Not according to the law. Trayvon was a thug wanna be who got his ticket punched early, much to our benefit. Most likely he was casing the neighborhood to expand his new found burglar skill set.

No one has to date shown me any evidence that counters my view that Trayvon Martin ,after perceiving that he was being followed, did not go straight home but set up an ambush and attacked George Zimmerman.

The court system didn't see it that way and they tried their best to make it otherwise. Fact: when Trayvon got his ticket punched early it was to the betterment of mankind.
