I do agree that Trump was damaged last night however, do not underestimate the stupidity of the raging masses or the worthlessness of those running against him.

That's because he IS a petulant child, with a lot of money. I've talked to people who've worked with him, most say that's his total style, along with being as crooked as a dog's hind leg. One guy says the main reason for his success is because he knew lots of show biz girls and employed them as honey traps to get the goods on pols he then extorted sweetheart deals from.

For me its who can I trust if I vote GOP to rebuild the economy, reduce spending and raising taxes intelligently to generate the needed revenue for the operation of the government and who knows he doesn't know everything so will need strong heads of various agencies and the military to do so - a successful business person or a career politician or a medical doctor? I think the successful businessman wins.

I'm not dumb I know we need a good economy if we stick with capitalism for now to fund enough taxes to cover my benefits OR a push for socialism to even the playing field and maintain benefits by reducing the extremes of the income in the country.

I don't trust anyone else but Sanders or Trump to offer options to protect my benefits and to keep us out of wars unless we have no choice.

Trump is also smart on defense we don't need tons of new weapons but rebuilding what we have bring land based silo to modern functioning, securing our borders, better pay for our service people to bring in good people who will be highly trained professionals and go career so we have a strong core if we must mobilize in a general war and draft into service our men and women to military duty and things like that. Education K-12 needs to be better this means lead to a career out of school or in later training. We need to so lots of things that will cost money and make what we spend having to perhaps go up with more taxes if needed.

He's tough and an autocrat maybe that's what we need.

They see an unsympathetic audience and lots of pock shots from the other candidates. It looked like a set up.

This is going to be the norm for Trump from this point on, the negative campaigning against him is just starting. I think he is considered a loose cannon by the elite in the GOP. ---They want him G.O.N.E. gone!--- He is weak on several conservative issues and I suspect they will pop up over and over again these next few weeks.

Problem, or should I say one problem, with Trump is that he is not a politician and it is obvious he is clueless when it comes to dealing with Congress, not only would Dems be fighting him tooth and nail so would many of the Republicans. He is not running business in the Oval office he is running a Nation and to do so he must have allies, Trump would have few to none helping him get his ideas made into policy. Trump makes many promises but when pushed for the details all he has is "trust me" that will not fly with the majority of voters and Trump will not have the power to do many of the things he says he would do, the President is only one cog in the wheels of government and without the rest of the cogs supporting him he will end up falling on his face and taking the Nation down with him.

Why in the world would any left winger hope that Trump is a fad? The longer he is involved, the better for the left. It's the Republicans who should be hoping it's a fad. Just a bad look for them all around. Just because some of us give our political opinions that he's a joke and doesn't stand a chance, doesn't mean we want him to lose the Republican primary or continue being in the spotlight. He's the gift that keeps on giving for the left. Same thing we said about Sarah Palin but her fans never listened. From an outside perspective, Trump really makes the Republican party look bad. Other than the 30% or so immature people that believe his style is Presidential.
