yeah. for one thing, they look like they're completely unorganized. they also forgot to bring their razors with them. Half of them need to go on a serious diet as well and look like boulders rolling off a cliff. Very few are going to take them seriously.
Write your Congresscritter. They are the only ones who can regulate the militia. Are you between the ages of 17 and 45?
US Code defines The Militia as all able bodied, non-regular-military male citizens (or intent to become citizens) b/n the ages of 18 and 45. Are you suggesting that entire group should be on a government regulated diet and personal hygiene regimen?
While Congress can decide who must be in the militia, I've never seen anything that says that those outside those parameters are forbidden to volunteer. In any case, the states decide who the officers will be, so if you've got a previous commission in your back pocket... They'd like need experienced cadre in the event of muster for training, too.
Non commissioned officer. I'd love to train an infantry company to keep me busy. I'd have them looking like a French Foreign Legion paratrooper unit.
Fact: The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home An opinion to the contrary means nothing.
2nd amendment does not protect carrying a loaded firearm in public, unless its a time of crisis or emergency
"I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials." — George Mason, in Debates in Virginia Convention on Ratification of the Constitution, Elliot, Vol. 3, June 16, 1788
I know that right now only 2 justices have any interest in taking any more gun rights cases. and it requires 4.
