People who do not want to believe a news story call it "fake news." Why do you want to believe that Russia is winning the War in Ukraine?

According to the news story I posted it is not obvious.

But that is not the answer to my question. That question once again: why do you want Russia to win the War in Ukraine?

I want Russia to lose big time because Russia invaded a country that did not threaten Russia. The idea that NATO would invade Russia through Ukraine is preposterous. No leader of NATO countries wants to invade Russia.

Ahahaha... Ex French President Hollande and ex German Chancellor Merkel explicitly stated that the signing of the "Minsk Accords" (to stop the genocide against Russians in DNR and LNR by Ukraine, which by the way has been going on for 8 years (and you kept quiet pretending nothing was happening)) was solely to deceive the Russians. And to give time to Ukrainian fascists to prepare more thoroughly for war with Russia, to get military supplies from the EU and the US, to build (they have been building for 8 years) fortifications on the Russian border.
The scenario of events has long been known.
The Ukrainians, under the guise of restoring the territorial integrity of the country, invade the DNR and LNR, carry out open and mass genocide of Russians, thus provoking Russia to intervene in the conflict.
But if Russia would not have intervened after the mass genocide in DNR and LNR, Ukrainian planned to attack Crimea, which was under the constitution as part of Russia Russia. And the Russians would have had to intervene anyway.
Putin didn't wait and wisely recognized the independence of DNR and LNR and began to provide them with military assistance. Which turned into a special operation.
This has long been known to everyone. Once again, Merkel and Hollande openly recognized this.
But you can continue to hide your head in the sand.

What is obvious is what Anders says here:

ruZZia wants to create the illusion that it is winning and that aiding Ukraine is pointless because it will lose no matter what.

Well it’s starting to look like the tactic of getting Hamas to attack in Israel had worked. The west’s resolve to supply Ukraine with arms is failing and with the Democrats losing the ability to get further funding approved, the west is starting to talk about a negotiated settlement.

This won’t go well because if Russia is able to lock down the Ukrainian territory they have now in a negotiated settlement, it will be about 3-5 years before they take over Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.

    You are a Russian Bot
Americans do not think the way you do. Some Americans do not think we should be involved in the War in Ukraine, but they do not take the side of Russia. This is why I think you are a Russian bot whose job it is to spread misconceptions about Russian aggression.

'he who lies first lies best'

    It's persistence of belief.
A lot of people in the US latched onto the narrative Joe Biden proclaimed on Feb 24 2022,
he lied non stop, people believed it, and are going to have a lot of trouble readjusting
their brains, if they ever do, to the truth.

    What is the truth?
Joey Bidden (does as he is bidden) made it sound like
he was late to the press conference because he was just
catching up on what was just happening, that Russia had
    invaded the Ukraine.

That was all nonsense. For one thing the Ukraine was
in the midst of a civil war at that time, so there was no
    such entity as 'Ukraine'.

And for another, the civil war had started in Feb 2014,
and for another you may have noticed Russia did not
invade the whole of the Ukraine, but settled into a defensive
position protecting Donetsk, Luhansk and a few other
places. All that information is readily available.

Joe was lying, or to be precise, just reading off the teleprompter, but what he said was wrong.
NATO itself is not willing to stand with Joe's lies:

NATO/OTAN wanted to put missiles in Ukraine.
So they took a gamble and decided to bluff Russia.
Russia knew they could beat NATO and the US weapons
carried by the very capable Ukrainian solders, and they
    have.

So much US weaponry has now been destroyed that
the Russian Federation can do more than just win in
Ukraine, but demand NATO/US remove missiles from
Romania and Poland, that can be expected in 2024
and then kick the US out of Central Europe altogether.

Russia took a big gamble, the UAF included 680,000 troops
and 1,000,000 approximately trained reserves, so that's a big
force. But about 500,000 are dead, something like the same
number incapacitated, and others have exited the country.

So Russia got it right. Just wait for the MSM to catch up,
    if it ever does.

I have a few questions I like to see you address (please without the usual propaganda on both sides):
    1. do you dispute that certain areas in what became Ukraine after the collapse of the Soviet Union were in fact predominately Russian regions the Soviets had included in the Ukraine SSR mostly to dilute the anti-Soviet/Russian character of western parts of Ukraine?
    2. if you don't fundamentally disagree with (1) above, then why do you believe the Ukrainian borders established following the collapse of the USSR should be regarded so inviolate as to justify violent suppression of ethnic Russian voices who may prefer union with "mother Russia" at such high cost to the people of Ukraine? Put differently, why not cooperate with and encourage efforts to establish the genuine sentiments in these regions and try to demarcate the boundaries accordingly?
    3. if for whatever reason (past agreements, some prior referendum, etc) you believe the eastern regions should all be part of Ukraine, do you then not agree that a genuine democratic compromise between such polar opposites when it comes to attitudes towards Russia on the one hand, and the west on the other hand, would require strict neutrality (almost as a constitutional principle) on issues relating to Russia/NATO/EU?

There was no violent suppression of ethnic Russian voices in Ukraine. You are starting from a false premise.

I also reject the notion that modern Russia has any claim over sovereign Ukrainian territory based on allegations of such violent suppression, based on past territorial claims of the Russian Empire or the USSR, or based on any of the other horseshit that Russians come up with to try and justify this invasion and annexation of territory legally given up by both the USSR and the Russian Federation to Ukraine in the 1990s.

Those in Ukraine who want to be "part of Russia" can pack their bags and move there. But in truth, there were not that many people in Ukraine who cared that much about it until Russia began employing subversive tactics to foment a separatist movement and conflict after their attempts to control Ukraine's government and policies vis-a-vis Russia and the EU/NATO/US/rest of the world clearly failed.

Furthermore, Ukraine is under no obligation to be "strictly neutral" or otherwise allow its foreign policies to be dictated by anyone in Moscow or anywhere else outside of Ukraine. Ukraine's government answers to the people of Ukraine, not to Russia.

You stated your position and conclusions but did not address my questions (which, btw, aren't premised on what you claim -- you can even delete violent suppression of Russian voices from the one that even referred to it). In your response, you also seem to confuse cause and effect. As long as Ukraine isn't a front against Russia, it is natural that pro-Russian voices inside Ukraine wouldn't be bothered being part of Ukraine, but after the coup supported by the US, those Russian Ukrainians were no longer living in a state they could remotely identify with. Which, more broadly, is the actual premise that informs my last question on strict neutrality.

happy yalda - the winter solstice festival Iranians are celebrating for several millennia, even if our New Year, Norouz, is marked by the spring equinox and the long holiday in Iran commemorating it ever since history has been recorded.

below a video apt for the occasion of Iranian women sporting costume's from Iran's different regions singing "vatan-nam" -- my country:

Another falsehood, the alleged "coup supported by the US". There was no coup in Ukraine. It does not fit that definition and we had nothing to do with what did happen.

This lie about what happened in 2014 is one Russia has used as an excuse to invade and steal Ukrainian territory and, eventually, to try to take all of Ukraine. No country has a right to do this to another over what amounts to internal political matters. The RF has no right to invade and annex Ukrainian territory over how ethnic Russians living in Ukraine may feel about Ukraine's internal politics.

You will notice there are several accounts here which just try to spread Putinist lies. It is obvious which ones they are.
