The war continues in Israel and Biden says nothing

No one WANTS any human suffering. But we must accept the fact that humans are suffering now and more will suffer if we do not stop these barbaric terrorist. Do nothing creates a vacuum and vacuum's do not stay as such for very long.

If the least amount of human suffering means the end of the Jewish state and the Islamic Jihad take over of the entire Middle East is that what you would support? If Hamas and the Jihad can be wiped out at the cost of some human suffering especially on that of our enemies could you accept that as the price to be paid?

Had the least human suffering meant allowing the Nazi's and the Japanese to have their way would you have supported that?

 

I'd rather not get involved with other nuclear powers as much as possible. I don't have any idea of what the correct course of action is at this point, but it feels like we are on the brink of nuclear war and no one wins in that scenario.

 

And Israel has never levied unprovoked rocket attacks into gaza. You seem to have a problem with cause and effect.

Well Japan attacked the US and Nazi Germany declared war on the US. Hamas has not attacked the US to the best of my knowledge. If they do, then a military response would be called for. I don't see the logic of your analogy. Comparing Hamas to Hitler seems like extreme hyperbole.

We implemented the Wolfowitz doctrine at a cost of trillions and thousands of lives to take out Iraq for Israel. But enough is never enough. We have given a lot of money and weapons to Israel for years. Have we not? They should be able to fight a war against a low tech enemy. Right? They can line their IDF troops up on the Gaza border. March in and wipe Hamas out. If not, why not? If they opt to wipe out Hamas, fine with me. As a US taxpayer, why, after giving them so much money, do you suggest we have to do the job for them or give them more money on top of what we already give them when we are having problems funding our own government with all time record debt. If memory is correct, two countries stepped up to help the US in Vietnam, i.e., Australia and South Korea. So those are the two countries that IMHO deserve US military assistance if they are attacked.

 

Actually, as one who believes Biden can't tie his own shoelaces, I was blown away and terribly surprised at what I thought was a serious direct and clear statement from Biden yesterday. Makes one wonder who wrote it and who told him to say it. Sure wasn't the Squad or any other Israel hating faction within the Democrat party.

 

Palestinians never put Israel to the test by agreeing to share Palestine (Israel, including the West Bank and Gaza) with Jews. Why shouldn't Israelis have a Jewish state if that's what they want? Are you prepared to tell Palestinians they can't have a state dominated by Islam?

Biden knows that if he has any chance for re-election that he can't piss off the Jewish vote. He could lose even lose New York State if he did. I don't really know if Biden knows that or not. You had to notice how he just walked off after he delivered the speech. The old man has so little mind left that he can't take a chance on taking questions from reporters any more. It's a shame that he doesn't have enough mind left of maybe not enough courage to announce that he will not run for a second term.

I saw a tape of him from the 2008 presidential campaign. The difference between what he is now and what he was then is striking.

There are those who said that a Jewish state should have been carved out in Eastern Europe. I'm sure that Stalin would not have accepted that. Besides, Israel is located on Biblical land.

Three wars--the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, the Six Day War, the Yom Kippur War--and Israelis were still prepared to live in peace with Palestinians. Never at any time have the Palestinians been prepared to accept a Jewish state.

They're facilitating, but Palestinians are the fighters.

They aren't an axis of anything other than wannabes trying to grab more power and wealth.

Israel has kept Gaza as an open air prison for decades. Half their population hasn't reached 20 years old. They have continuously in food insecurity, with Israel not allowing them to fish Gaza's waters. These conditions meet the definition of war - a war that has lasted continuously for decades.

I'd bet plenty Hamas was trying to get their foot in the door and would have tried to knock out Abbas at the first opportunity. Netanyahu was right to oppose Hamas involvement.

 

Just a hunch and a guess, but I'm really thinking Chuck Schumer is running the show regarding the situation revolving around Israel. And frankly I'm ok with that.
