    Well the Nobel Committee had a chance to actually make this prize meaningful again...they apparently have decided not to....

    I don't think Trump's nomination(s) were for this year anyway, but he won't win next year either... Maybe in 15 years, he can turn into Jimmy Carter and be nominated for real reasons...

    World Food Program, huh? Never heard of it, but sounds like a worthy organization....

    Gotta steam Trump that a UN effort wins however... Trump's least favorite word...

    That is correct his 3 nominations are for the 2021 contest.

    WFP is just what the United Nations calls its food distribution efforts, its been around since the 60s iirc started by a group of American agriculturalists. You've probably seen bags of grains stamped with that familiar blue UN logo being unloaded from airplanes or the backs of trucks - that's the WFP. A worthwhile program to be sure but not without its controversies and failures, most notably how it sustains warlords. You may recall hearing about various African conflict zones where UN trucks go to pass out food to refugees with rebel armies standing near by waiting for the UN soldiers to leave because as soon as they do the refugees are hacked to bits and the food is stolen - manipulation of the rules of engagement and what not. And iirc it was the WFP trucks that brought food to Haiti after that massive earthquake few years back where we heard stories that the savages living on the outskirts attacked the trucks and hacked the aid workers to bits.

    It's actually a program that does more harm then good....pushes out local farmers that can't compete with it, creates dependency, they historically have done a poor job of distributing the food, which has allowed warlords and leftist dictators to take advantage of the program

    The tragic thing is that they gave "Messiah" Obama a Nobel Prize for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but being born 'mixed-race', but then they completely ignore Trump putting together a real, no-bullshit, multi-faceted peace arrangement between several Arab nations and Israel in the Middle East!

    Donald was put up for the 2021 Nobel Peace prize three times. The man who got it in 2020 was an appointed man by Donald Trump.

    We learned when Obama got the prize how cheap this reward is. Actually despite the reports, I believe it is for 2020 that Trump got the middle finger though what he did is very important.

    No, that is completely false. The head of the WFO is jointly appointed by the UN Secretary General and the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN. The Tangerine Turd has exactly dick to do with who runs the WFO.
