In the US people are worried about Iraq becoming a puppet state of Iran, but in Iraq people are more worried about their country becoming a puppet state of the US. That doesn't sound so scary from our perspective, but for the people of Iraq they consider it a serious threat to their national sovereignty, which is why our troop presence is so unpopular among the locals in Iraq.

What he should do in the future is what his predecessors did. Authorize the death or the bombing, then act surprised, instead of saying "I ordered it!" Our CIA are experts at killing world leaders; the President can respond however they wish.

Iraq is a puppet state of Iran. Thanks Obama.

Obama did give the order to SUPPORT our NATO allies in the region however where is your evidence to substantiate your allegation that he "micro-managed" that conflict?

Where is your evidence to substantiate that he "approved the strike on Gaddaffi"?

Obama did these things and Hillary supported them also. He destabilized Libya and Syria.

One of Obama's signature gaffes was saying "I just heard about this on TV" or whatever else.

Completely and utterly wrong in all respects.

Your IMPOTUS chose to ARBITRARILY assassinate a senior member of a foreign government WITHOUT any shred of justification as established during the BIPARTISAN CONDEMNATION of his attempt to justify his LACK of an "imminent threat".

That Act of War has the POTENTIAL to cause another FOREVER WAR in the Middle East where our TROOPS will be MAIMED and DIE because of his utter STUPIDITY!

There is zero DEFENSE for his actions and inane deflections PROVE that there is zero defense!

Take your own advice and remove YOUR partisan blinkers by switching this around. You would be DEMANDING that a Dem POTUS be removed from office if they had done anything remotely as stupid that put our troops at needless risk. As an Independent I would be just as harsh on that idiot had they been this foolhardy.

But because it is your IMPOTUS your partisanship DEMANDS that you defend the indefensible.

Soleimani was a psychopath responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. He was declared a terrorist and was confined to Iran. He was fair game for the US government. Very few people from either party condemned Obama for killing Bin Laden although Sleepy Joe recommended that he not do it.

Your narrative is not credible in the US.

That is to say some lefties may claim to believe it (they always do), but the facts upon basic and even close examination show otherwise.

A real bad guy got what was coming to him.

    Wrong!

That became NULL and VOID after the Bush/Cheney regime signed the troop WITHDRAWAL from Iraq terms.

Your OPINION is just that, your OPINION!

You have ZERO credible substantiation for any of those baseless allegations.

We'll see what shakes out in the up coming hearings and elections. Trump's lies and BS has been becoming harder to deny and defend each day.

If we had to ask permission it is obvious they would have said no.

"Palestinian Cabinet member Saeb Erakat said Wednesday that the United States violated the Oslo peace accords when it seized Abbas." https://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/04/15/sprj.irq.abbas.arrested/

Why should we expect terrorist scum to be legal, or to turn over their terrorists?

Whether or not it was self-defense, terrorists don't usually advertise ahead of time. Due to the hidden nature of terrorism, every time we take one down, it is self-defense regardless of whether they now have decided to stop. One instance of knowing the General was involved in a terrorist attack on our people, is enough to take him out, and it be self-defense.

Nope still in effect but would support a reauthorization since the Iranains are still sponsoring terrorism and a Presidents needs the ability to counter that.

How can you possible say that an active terrorist who has been actively attacking us and even ramping up the frequency and nature those attacks is not an imminent threat?
