I don't mind that he is dead at all. He has deserved for years. But you don't get to hide behind that to avoid answering for the fact that it was done outside the official channels that are in place for a reason, and likely done to distract from the damaging emails released literally the day before.

Trump gets kudos for taking him out. That's about the only part in this whole thing he got right

Uh...what? I'm really hoping that was a misunderstanding of my post because you couldn't possibly be arguing that because someone responded after the fact, means they knew about the attack prior. Because if that were true, then you'd be suggesting they allowed the attack to occur so they could respond as such....

The writer of Idiocracy said much the same, but he was specifically talking about the support for trump.

I wonder if you realize that you are solely reliant on the "swamp" as the source for your claim that this guy had anything to do with 600 dead Americans?

Also, I wonder if you afforded Obama the same extreme autonomy to make military decisions and will you continue to justify all future Presidential decisions made unilaterally on military issues when the President is a Democrat?

Finally, I wonder if you recognize that your justification for his death has almost nothing to do with the justification that is legally required nor does it have anything to do with the justification offered by the Reump administration. If you want to kill someone because they pose an imminent threat, then you need to prove an imminent threat existed - not simply point to previous bad acts.

    For now...

Let's consider for a moment what the US response would be had Iran assassinated the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

This isn't over. Not by a long shot.

Soleimani is responsible for hundreds of thousands deaths of innocent people.

A President of the United States has to prove nothing to act to protect US citizens. The founders knew this and provided the means in the Constitution.

Sanctions, assassinations would probably qualify as "acts of war."

This is all a bunch of complaining about nothing. The DEM talking points don't match the reality of the situation.

Iraq has already been designated by Congress as an active war zone.

Bottom line: Trump didn't need any reason whatsoever to take out a person who was on the active list of international terrorists who was physically on the ground in Iraq. Obama did the same thing and even targeted US citizens who were hanging out with enemy combatants.

In contrast, Obama went into Pakistan with no such Congressional approval.

Wrong. U.S. Forces are in Iraq and the invitation and approval of the Iraqi government, a sovereign nation. Doesn't matter whether the Congress considers it a "war zone" or not.
