Trayvon was on the phone with a friend that was a girl (not determined if it was girlfriend). Only minutes before police arrived according to phone records. Trayvon was moving away from, trying to get away from, a person stalking him.
If Zimm was on the way back to his SUV, Trayvon is not about to all the sudden decide to go after Zimm who he was trying to avoid in the first place.
His father did not say that was not Trayvon's screaming. His father said he was not sure. His Mother was sure. A voice analyzes will determine. I believe it was Trayvon. I believe his mother. I believe what I hear.
Even if Trayvon got the better of a predator that was after him, he had every right to defend himself. If Trayvon became confrontational , Zimm should have stepped back. He was the one stalking the kid.

I didn't say that you stated you wanted to close the case.

Read my post again: what I said was that, without the outcry over this story, the case WOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSED!

So, as a supporter of a thorough investigation. . .you should be glad that there was enough outcry to keep the investigation open, and to pass it on to people who didn't have a history of bias, as the Sanford Police department reportedly has.

And, I am actually an Independent, who happens to be a big supporter of Obama. If Obama was anything other than a Democrat. . .I would still support him, because I trust and admire him more than ANY other politiciens in the field. . . except maybe for H. Clinton!

By the way. . .I am not sure what this has to do with this thread! I am not at all happy that this is turning out to be so political.

For me, as a grand mother, I see it as the worthless killing of a kid who could have been my grandson. . .the color of his skin is a moot point for me.

you might have got me crossed with someone else but i really want to know what happened and see that justice is served either way. i too do not like hearing about any kid being shot, it kills me when i hear the next story about a rising athelete or scholar gets their lives cut short. i dont like violence to kids.

And you really believe that the pictures posted by Cessna were "fair" and represented the "real" Trayvon?

He can't even post the factual proof that these demonizing pictures were of Trayvon. . .and I believe they were NOT.

However, I did post a REAL picture of Trayvon, one taken 6 months ago. . .is that recent enough for you? I don't think teenagers (especially boys) usually like to have their pictures taken every month!

The point I was making is that, without the public outcry that you seem to reject, there would NEVER HAVE BEEN a full investigation, and therefore both your and my opinion that this case deserve a FULL, UNBIASED investigation, and a second look at the "stand your ground law" and the way it is being applied would never have happened.

Now what is it that makes you think this Martin and the founder of all Protestant churches, Martin Luther, have different beliefs? He was black, non-hispanic and lived in Florida. That makes it about 90% he's a Baptist of one form or another.

Martin was not trespassing and unless you have a link to an official police report or citation you should retract the misstatement.

 

Let me ask this question.

If the gun were in Martin's hand instead of Zimmerman's. That is, every other fact remains the same except Martin ends up killing Zimmerman with Zimmerman's gun.

Do you really think Martin would not be sitting in the Seminole county jail today on a capital murder charge?

The police on the scene closed the case immediately. "Righteous kill." Black banger looking for an easy score. No reason to doubt the word of Zimmerman. After all, he's "white", lives in the neighborhood, performing a public service. They had no reason to check Martin's background or the 911 call or Martin's cell records, or anything else. Just bag 'em, tag 'em and hit the 7-11 for a refill.

The police and prosecutors had closed the case and moved on. Were it not for the efforts of Martin's parents this would have simply disappeared. Don't blame the MSM for uncovering the stink. blame the people who made it.

first of all Cessna is not the mainstream media, Cessna does not control what millions see on tv. second of all the media painted the kid as this little tiny boy by showing pics of him when he was like 12. im sorry but the media has a hell of alot more sway than any single poster on this board or this board as a whole. and lastly teenagers get their pics taken atleast every week by their (*)(*)(*)(*)ed cellphones and friends cellphones or their web cams. im betting his friends and girlfriends have lots of pics of him, oh but no we cant show those now can we???? that would just take away the look they tried to give treyvon.
