How come you seem unable to even answer the most elementary of questions. Let us try another. But since you seem unable to answer my questions I will be happy to answer yours if you would restate what you think was your slam dunk or at least tell me which post it was in.

 

His problem as he made the mistake of using the accepted definition of religion in his post while using an imaginary definition in his thinking. But of course he won't actually post his imaginary definition.

 

That passage could be said to apply to any nation that was an enemy of the Israelite's and most likely refers to Babylonians.

It is one of those "it will rain sometime in the future" predictions.

 

Lets keep this simple if I ,only an example, said an unseen being talked to me and told me to kill all children with brown eyes and then took out a machete you would rightly lock me up as insane. Now in the OT this did in a way was when the chosen people slaughtered other tribes and god didn't punish them for doing this since he supposedly ordered it.

But its to me the case if enough people believe the crazy crap its not seen as crazy, so of course you don't see the religious claims you believe in as nutty.

 

But perhaps what people should want is a better world for all children.
