I started owned and operated my business for 40 years without so much as an ounce of help from the government, which I wouldn't take in the first place. If anything, government impedes business, that's why businesses are moving to the friendly states.

Any way you look at it, Obama's comments were nonsensical. If a person is successful, or comes from a successful family and continues that legacy, then yes, they're far more responsible for our systems and infrastructure than anyone else. Rather than fomenting resentment towards the wealthy and successful, we should be appreciative that we have such resources via the taxes they pay.

 

20 years from now people will be asking the question: How did Obama lose his re-election bid and will point to this nonsensical remark.
