    ?????????????????????

Leftists promote abortion as a method of birth control with many even saying that a fetus doesn't have the right to life until it is actually born, meaning that it is perfectly fine to abort a 9 month old fetus. A Congressman recently got up in front of the House and asked Democrats to define at what point life actually begins and not one Democrat would stand up and define that point, not one, because they were afraid of saying that they believe life only begins after it is born, clearing the way for abortions at any point of a pregnancy, including the abortion of a 9 month old fetus.

do you believe that a woman who gets pregnant, for whatever reason. Say her birth control fails. Its not 100% effective.

Should that woman be forced to give birth against her will?

what a load of horse crap.

Libeals have been on Team Contraceptive forever.

Its conservatives that are trying to limit the types of BC, and who can access it. If anyone says otherwise, they are a liar.

I don't think abortion is seen as birth control in the way normal things might, in advance. I think it's usually the solution to desperation, to the outcome of mistakes made when the possibility of unwanted pregnancy was ignored for some reason at the time it should have been considered. Biggest cause of such things is that few people are capable or willing to regulate themselves to the extent they should be, it is a typical weakness of our nature. We do many irresponsible things without thinking them out, and usually they have consequences.

Compromise on this issue is virtually unthinkable for some people to consider because of values they hold for themselves. I personally believe one should hold themselves to the values they respect, but ti becomes difficult when I want to hold others to my values, which means I dismiss theirs. I don't have an answer to the problem in general, but I have a problem with an answer that exists to satisfy demands of people not directly affected, but fails to solve the problems. We could for example drive abortion underground again, but it would continue and pose a greater risk, so that solves nothing.

Something I think all people should consider is that when we speak of the value of life, we must not ignore the quality of life. An unwanted child in a situation with a single parent, overloaded and struggling to survive, is unlikely to have a quality childhood, and will go through that window of early childhood learning where character and values are imprinted in them under the worst of conditions. That means they will be virtually incapable and unequipped to find a quality life for themselves- and very likely to produce children under the same conditions. The problem here is far larger and more complex than just preventing abortion.
If we don't raise people capable of being responsible and of having sound values systems, everything gets worse- for the people that happens to, and for the society overall. We have to do better.

The trouble is, the left consider this a woman's rights issue and will give no ground on it while the right believe it is an issue of murder and will give no ground on it. The left seem to believe that if they can justify murder then it is ok. The fact is, there have probably been millions of women over the years, even during RvW, who got pregnant when they didn't really want to, carried the baby for 9 months when they really didn't want to, and gave birth to a child they really didn't want to. I would not force any woman to keep a baby they didn't want. That's why there are options if you don't want the baby after it is born. The fact is, there are any number of things you just have to live with when **** happens.

I am not an activist. I'm not going to go anywhere and carry any signs or write my Congressman, etc. But, this is kind of black and white issue for both sides. The left claim it is about women's rights and the right says it is not about women's rights at all but life and death, AKA murder. The left don't want to compromise on women's rights and the right don't want to compromise when it comes to murder. It seems to me since you can't compromise on life and death, the best we can accomplish is to do whatever is possible to stop abortion from being a normal everyday contraception option and focus on everything else we can do to make sure unwanted pregnancies don't happen in the first place. Anyone on the far right who are against contraception of any kind are just plain bonkers.

Aborting a 9 month fetus is called a miscarriage, aka Spontaneous abortion. Otherwise it's just born.

If the 9 month fetus is going to require extensive hospital care to the tune of 100 grand a day, without UHC who's paying that. It's not so different then taking someone off life support, or canceled disease treatments due to affordability.

I didnt ask you if you would force her to keep the baby.

I asked you if you would force her to give birth.

It's about liberty, and self defence isn't murder.

If he would, then he must support UHC. Otherwise, what's the incentive to report for check ups, and stay off drugs?

Once they are excluded from being considered a fetus, as a fetus can still go through a Spontaneous abortion, miscarrage even at 9 months.

First, I don't disagree with the termination of a fetus that has some major medical problems. I'm mainly against using abortion as a method of birth control. Second, if there was that much seriously wrong with the fetus they would know about it long before it reached the 9 month mark, unless something unusual happened right at the very end.

I answered that. If you can't figure out my answer then that is your problem. Yes, I did say that I wouldn't force her to keep the baby. In fact, more than likely, the baby would be better off without her.

When you make a purposeful decision to terminate a life then you have made that decision.

Murder is when you purposely take a life. I don't know what else you could call it other than justified murder.

Healthcare. Without healthcare, how would the woman get checkups for the doctor to know ahead of time there is going to be a problem?

If you truly feel a mother should be forced to go through a pregnancy, you should be for UHC. Otherwise what's the incentive?

    You didnt answer the question.

You said you wouldnt force her to keep the baby.

Im asking you if you would force her to give birth in the first place.

this can be a simple yes or no.
or are you just a coward?
