There is not much difference between the two as far as levels of corruption go.

    Mexico has what I call:
    "Institutionalized corruption" it is expected,
    The U.S. does not.
    Example:
A car is stolen from a U.S. couple, they see a Mexican Police Officer and complain, he hands them a buisness card and tells them to call that number, and for a price, the car is returned, nice and clean...
No business or commerce takes place in Mexico without paying bribes to corrupt officials in the Mexican Government.

America is not that bad, yet.

Thankfully, cameras are making the playing field more level:

Lawyer says body cam video shows LAPD officer planting drugs

    http://www.chron.com/news/crime/article/Lawyer-says-body-cam-video-shows-LAPD-officer-12348384.php

Los Angeles police launched an internal investigation Friday after an attorney released body camera video that he says shows an officer planting cocaine in his client's wallet during an arrest.

The video was taken during an arrest in April when officers stopped Ronald Shields, 52, who they suspected had been involved in a hit-and-run crash.

It appears to show an officer standing beside Shields, who is in handcuffs, as another officer leans down and picks up a small baggie filled with white powder — which later tested positive for cocaine — that is on the ground. The officer who picked up the baggie then motions to the second officer, points to Shield's wallet in his hand and appears to place the baggie in the wallet.

The officer then turns on his body camera, but the cameras automatically save the previous 30 seconds when they are switched on.

"The drugs were certainly planted," Shields' attorney, Steve Levine, said. "If not for the body cam video, my client would be convicted of a crime he didn't commit."

Los Angeles police said they opened an investigation after the body camera video was aired by KCBS-TV on Thursday.

"The LAPD takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and, as in all cases, will conduct a thorough investigation to determine whether the alleged actions are supported by reliable evidence," police said in a statement.

Levine is asking a judge to suppress the evidence. The Los Angeles County district attorney's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Once again, criminal cops caught in their evil acts.

Let's see the anti-government pro gun right wingers demand that these criminals be arrested and put into jail for the rest of their lives.

This just goes to show that Mexico is a gun-grabbing, corrupt, socialist ****hole. We don't need more of that over here.

Any person that uses narcotics coming from there, or protects anyone that uses them---is encouraging all the gang and cartel murders, kidnappings and police corruption. It's just like them handing bullets that are used to harm others.

They should also be ashamed of themselves. They are the gangster's enablers.

Every day, people send Millions of Dollars to Mexico.
Much of this money eventually ends up in Drug cartel and dealers pockets directly or indirectly.

Mexican rapper admits to dissolving students bodies in acid

They mistakenly thought the students were a rival gang. They dressed as police to abduct the students. While interrogating them they beat one so badly that he died so they killed the other two and then took them to another home and put them in the acid.

Christian Omar Palma Gutierrez, better known as “QBA,” has been detained over the deaths of Salomon Aceves Gastelum, 25, Daniel Diaz, 20, and Marco Avalos, 20, in western Jalisco state last month.

If you eat a mere cookie or soda from Mexico, chances are you unwittingly supported the illegal drug trafficking as every crumb from Mexico pays a bribe to Government Officials, involved in illegal drug trafficking.
