No, I called gun nuts, I never mentioned law abiding citizens.

Doesn't really take 20, 3 works. columbine - tragedy and recovery
    Officials say girlfriend bought guns

Course 3 is obviously not hoarding, But when a person has dozens of firearms, enough ammo to take on the national guard, and a severe hatred and paranoia about "Da gubermint taken der gunz away". It can be an issue, especially when that person isn't mentally stable enough to own a fork without a cork on the end, let alone high caliber firearms.

No, our problem is the regular mass shootings in this country. We know plenty about firearms, and getting upset because one person can gun down dozens of people before they are stopped isn't hysteria, it's a problem that needs to be addressed.

BTW, what did the Branch Dividian's and their children do other than die under a hail of fire and bullets from a totalitarian government bent on control? Ah, the crime must have been hoarding.[/QUOTE]

Oh really? Please, learn some History, so that it's not repeated:

    http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/atf-raids-branch-davidian-compound

Koresh took several wives at Mount Carmel and fathered at least 12 children from these women, several of whom were as young as 12 or 13 when they became pregnant. There is also evidence that Koresh may have harshly disciplined some of the 100 or so Branch Davidians living inside the compound, particularly his children. A central aspect of Koresh’s religious teachings was his assertion that the apocalyptic events predicted in the Bible’s book of Revelation were imminent, making it necessary, he asserted, for the Davidians to stockpile weapons and explosives in preparation.

Following the unsuccessful ATF raid, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took over the situation. A standoff with the Branch Davidians stretched into seven weeks, and little progress was made in the telephone negotiations as the Davidians had stockpiled years of food and other necessities before the raid.

Oh I see, so apparently Same Sex marriage is wrong, but the right wing supports polygamy. I see. Very interesting.

That was the claim in government records. You should know by history they often make things up for a raid and often their cases are thrown out of court.

You are evidently of the gub'mint can do no wrong crowd.

Burning up the children sure saved them from an awful fate, didn't it?

    1. Not true. Less than half were committed with handguns. Where are you getting your info?
    2. No, anyone can apply for one.
    3. And why should there be? Why should the ATF know if I have more than one handgun? Are you concerned about this happening?

    5. And if they went through the licensing process, what's wrong with that? It sounds like your aim is to make it harder to sell guns and thereby harder to buy guns - why?
    6. Why should they? Schizophrenics aren't statistically significantly more likely to commit murder, they're just more likely to kill themselves. I mean really, we know that blacks are statistically far more likely to commit murder - and we don't report that to the ATF, even though they far more than twice as likely as the general population. Do you think we should report that too?
    7. Wrong - there are laws that make that illegal in most states.

Law abiding Americans should be given free guns to defend themselves against Thugs. Thugs who are caught with guns are dangerous and should be caught and if that is not possible, they should be shot.

My question would be... assuming we changed everything you mentioned above... how would that change 99% of gun crimes today? I'm not interested in solving 1% of the problems, I'd rather look at the 99% and try making a dent in those... because that will have more of an impact than me feeling good that I did something to create "change" that ultimately really didn't help anyone... but I'll feel better and thats the important part? come on...

there is a difference between "common sense" changes, and real world results... if you could go through all the mass shootings in the past decade, please show me how many would have been stopped... and by stopped, I mean would have had zero chance of happening... not just delayed because they had to wait another month to buy a gun or something silly like that... I'm all for solutions that solve the problem, but solutions that make people feel good are pointless in the end...

Black Americans should be given free guns to protect themselves against thug cops who illegally break the law, violate the Constitution and terrorize their communities.

I support the most strictest gun control laws imaginable.
