"The five officers fired for their involvement in the beating and death of Tyre Nichols have been booked into the Shelby County Jail Thursday morning, according to online records.

The officers are charged with the following:

Justin Smith – Two counts of official misconduct, official oppression, second-degree murder, aggravated assault and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.
Tadarrius Bean – Second- degree murder, aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of official misconduct and official oppression.
Demetrius Haley – Second degree murder, aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of official misconduct and official oppression.
Emmitt Martin III – Second degree murder, aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of official misconduct and official oppression.
Desmond Mills Jr. – Second degree murder, aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of official misconduct and official oppression.

My understanding is that he was just driving down the road, minding his own business and obeying the law, when 5 cops pulled him over and beat him to death for no reason whatsoever. Happens every day!

 

well, tire learned that running from the police and fighting them is, and has always been, really stupid. he was a really stupid man, and he did not take to learning lessons. we also know that even when to officers are black some dong will try and make race out of it. here's a quote, try and keep a straight face. I could not.

let's note that the family is a group of liars, as he died three days later and not during the arrest. the notoriously simple crump lied and said that no one should die from a traffic stop- he ran from the police and fought with them. what we have is another example of the ghetto lottery and a family who wants some cash.

I'd like to see the video before I condemn the officers, who learned that some people are unpredictable and will fight you over nothing.

We should really talk about this problem outside of race.

The police use of force is different from the race problems, but they do overlap.

White people die because of the way police abuse force too. I recall one video of a white guy in his trailer following instructions and came out with his hands up and got shot in the gut.

The fact that the officers in this case were black are just a coincidence. We should all care that many officers abuse force.

 

I'll bet it's exactly what the family is claiming, since he's there to collect a check and has yet to be accused of honesty!

I just thought you might take note here that all of the officers were black since if I remember correctly you made a statement the other day to the effect that the black officers don't use excessive force like the white ones

 

Can you give an example that happened today? According to you it should be fairly easy.

Is the legal punishment for running or fighting with police officers death? Is it being kicked in the street by 5 police officers for three minutes causing internal injury (allegedly) and then death?

That the offices were not only immediately fired with no resistance from the union and then charged should be enough to think something isn’t right here.

 

Where are the cries of racism? Where is Sharpton? What racist crap is MSNBC spewing? Where are the folks on this board who literally said cops became cops so they can legally murder black people?

Cops allegedly murdered a black guy and after five days this thread only has 21 posts? Talk about selective outrage. Not even blm seems to be touching this.

 

More likely bent cops hired to kill someone by a gang of drug dealers.
