LOL, wow, that reporter really is clueless. Looks like he read some biased sensational domestic media and thought he could get some attention by copying it. Makes him look stupid to anyone with any braincells that still work

Yes, we all know, except for AT.............

The Abbott government was hoping, the good old times with lots of revenue would somehow return and they would share the same relaxed sit back and do nothing attitude as happened under J.Howard.

Liberals are such a frickin bunch of losers.....

    regards

It certainly resonates with a vast majority of Australians. Some of us knew he was a foolish numbskull in opposition and prior. Others in Australia found out how sad this guy is since being in government and you get those hard right lunatics who stick their heads in the sands because they simply don't want to face reality. Those clowns who support him and make excuses for him simply put that much faith in this fool that it is hard for em to turn back due to what is already a huge credibility issue for them. The more they make excuses for the clown the worse they look!

You know jack, and it shows. I've met him, he is an arse... but he is still miles better then Rudd, Gillard or Shorten. Thats the saddest part, but you ALP lot are content hating on the person instead of discussing the policies. I get it, its because the ALP has none so its all you've got.

Remember when we went through a recession back during the GFC?

Oh wait, no we didn't, even after the Liberals sabotaged Australia's future by overtaxing Australians and not building for the future. Luckily the ALP took over at the right moment to save us from the Howard years. If the Liberals had been in during the GFC we'd still be going through recession.

Abbott the bumbling fool? Shorten the rotten tooth puppet? Abbott the bumbling fool? Shorten the rotten tooth puppet?..................................

Gee got to love our choices.

Cats, mate as far as the business community is concerned it is the Libs mate, best of a bad choice. Labor has abandoned it's roots, the working man. It is now the NEW Labor Party, sipping soy decaf lattes instead of a cold schooner down the pub, frequenting Tapas bars instead of taking the wife and kids down to Sizzler for a steak and salad, wearing Amani instead of an off the rack suit from Lowes, driving BMW's instead of Commodores. This is the New Labor party.

My father who WAS a life long Labor party member handed his membership in last year. He remarked that when Green party members find enough in common with Labor to form an unofficial coalition and help determine Labor party policy, they are no longer the party he loved so much.

Now he did not mean to degrade the Greens, he simply referred to the fact that green policy sits squarely against old Labor party policy. The fact that the Greens openly denounce certain blue collar industry, calling for the abolishment of said industries is testament to his view.

The old Labor party was built on the back of Coal Miners, steel workers, Warfies, and Timber cutters. The New Labor look to destroy the lives of these workers by inhibiting their function through Green designed policy. I don't think they are too concerned either as they have picked up a new breed of follower. Teachers, IT workers, and middle management public servants. They no longer need Blue collar, they have a nice latte colour with a tinge of green to whoo. Blue collar is now redundant among their beloved party, dinosaurs with conflicting views. These are some of the voters that PUP, Katter, and independent hopefuls are picking up. The unions no longer perpetuate change for the working man, they raise levies to pay themselves higher wages, all the while the Blue man withers and dies at the hands of corporate monsters.

The NEW labor don't need them anyway, they are now not chic enough to go to the Tapas bar. Pass the chardy Bill, Tanya and Christine are finished with the Moet, make sure it is the organic stuff Billy boy, we know how we want to save the endangered southern brown nose. meanwhile Joe Worker sits outside with his family on a sidewalk bench chewing on a cold Kebab looking in at the party. His wife looks at him, " why weren't we invited"? he shrugs devoid of answers and says, " Maybe Clive is free".

Interesting comment. I don't see it that negative, but we all have to move on.
So does Labor. Do I like Labor? No, I tend to give my vote to the Greens, as I believe we can only move forward in a better future, if and only if our decisions are sustainable.
In my future world coal mining is non existing, however other industries will elapse.
What we need is guts, and the most gutless bunch are the Liberals and Nationals, if they could they would turn the clock back.
Abbott has the capacity of a 5 year old, caught up in 1956 or so. How could half of us ever trust him?
Shorten and Labor, I am not really for them, they still whore around with the Unions too much, and that is in the way of a sustainable greener future.
Meanwhile the neo Libs are founding the *Third Reich* in downunder, thanks to Toneee and his true blue knights.
    Regards

I read somewhere the other day (it wasn't a Murdoch) that Labor has ditched its working class types for the careerists. I think that's true. The Labor Party is composed of careerists and that shuts out the ordinary person. Ben Chifley wouldn't get a look in today.

    Depends on the wanker.

His mother is/was Australian, so it don't matter if he was born while she was in London.

It very much matters that he still holds British Citizenship, in fact it matters so much the Australian constitution bar his being a member of Parliament.

A fact Abbott knows real well, along with someone will have to take him to the High Court to stop his illegal activity!

Cats you have never wavered. I respect that. You stand for something you believe in, whether I agree with you or not is irrelevant. It is refreshing to see someone stand by their beliefs instead of wavering in the face of popular politics. Good on you.

In your comment is the very point my father was making. There would be no way in hell you as a Green would vote for the OLD Labor party, because they used to stand for mining, timber cutters, and steel workers. The very fact you see them as any sort of option shows exactly how far this party has distanced itself from Joe Worker.

I realise that. I don't think it's relevant to his competence. Let's do him slowly.

    - - - Updated - - -

Not at all. I wish nothing about him. I'm in two minds. I would like to see him gone for the sake of the country but he makes it so easy for Labor whereas Turnbull would suck a lot of people in.
