I know this series gets a lot of hate and so does the director, but I'm a sucker for big robots blowing (*)(*)(*)(*) up, so I'll be seeing this at the earliest showing.

Who else is going to see this?

I haven't seen the Transformers movies. I heard the first one was good but that they wen't down hill from there, with the 3rd one getting slammed hard by the critics.

Michael Bay though is an overly trashed director - Pain and Gain for example is a damn good, funny movie.

Michael Bay seems to be hell bent on ruining everything from my childhood. All three Transformers movies were terrible. But having said that, I already know I will be going to see both the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and the new Transformers movie once they hit theaters. I call it the M. Night Shyamalan effect. You already know it's going to suck before you go see it, but for some reason you have to see it anyway.

    I'm sorry, but I'm not.

I can't stand his style of humor.

I got really angry at the way he treated Wheelie. That was just stupid and offensive to me, and I don't understand why he did that.

That being said I'd love to see a real Transformers movie that is more like the comics.

Saw it in 3D with XD....Except for near the end, it was total action and effects. I gotta admit I liked the ride. At times I felt like I was in the action. At least they tried to insert a plot line. The human interactions were pretty much stereotypical though. The 3D was excellent and the XD sound (in the theater I was in) was, at times, a whole-body experience.

If you want a clever-intricate storyline and plot....stay home. If you go, see in in 3D with XD.

I go with my kids and think of these kind of movies as amusement rides. I predict that this kind of movie will become a full immersion experience in the future. Maybe even interactive. I go for the action and what guy can't resist 3D robots that change into trucks and cars? Come On! You know you love it!

I saw the first one and wasn't impressed. Never bothered with any of the sequels, and I don't see that changing for this one.

It gets less hate than it deserves, as far as I'm concerned. The (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s who produce and sell movies like this do not deserve to receive anything for them. They could do a much better job but choose not to. Do not reward them

At least pirate the movie. :D

Lol! You make very valid and compelling points. But I guess it's the kid in me that can't stop comparing it to what I grew up with. It makes me somewhat of a purist. When the first movie came out, I thought it was an awesome idea. In theory, a live action Transformers movie sounds like the greatest thing ever. But it was the way that it was done that pissed me off. Michael Bay doesn't seem to have much knowledge about the subjects of his movies. It's like he just peripherally hears about them and then makes up his own details. I'd like to make a movie about Michael Bay's life just to show him what his movies look like to everyone else. The part of Michael Bay would be played by a carrot and instead of a movie director, he would be a ventriloquist.

I don't go to these types of movies expecting a gripping plot and A-list acting.

I go because the Transformers are (*)(*)(*)(*)ing cool and the Michael Bay versions are all I'm probably going to get, at least for the foreseeable future. Michael Bay Optimus Prime is better than no Optimus Prime at all if you ask me. I'm also a sucker for special effects and I love seeing the newest advances in their techniques, something I've been doing since the mid 80s when I was old enough to understand what special effects in movies were.

For that reason, I have no problem shelling out the dough for a couple movie tickets instead of just waiting for the DVD and downloading it. I want them to keep making these movies if only to see my childhood hero Optimus Prime on the big screen, something that simply isn't going to happen otherwise.
