Look, a female pumped up on a PED wins state, who would've thunk it... -_- Pro baseball players have been taken to court over this exact thing, yet now it's praised. Snip-- Mack Beggs, a 17-year old transgender Euless Trinity wrestler making national headlines at the UIL State Wrestling Championships at the Berry Center this weekend, won the Class 6A girls' 110-pound state championship Saturday at the Berry Center. Beggs went undefeated in the two-day tournament and beat Morton Ranch's Chelsea Sanchez in the final. Sanchez took home the silver medal. Earlier in the day, Beggs (56-0) pinned Grand Prairie's Kailyn Clay in the second period of the semifinal match. It was his first pin of the weekend with his first-round win over Clear Springs' Taylor Latham and quarterfinal win over Tascosa's Mya Engert each coming by major decision. The controversy surrounding Beggs deals with the testosterone treatments part of his transition, with some believing it is an unfair advantage although it is allowed by the UIL because it is administered by a physician and for medical reasons. Beggs also has been denied the request to compete in the boys division because of a new UIL rule that states athletes must compete under the gender on their birth certificate. I wouldn't have a problem with this if other students could also use PED's, otherwise, this is blatant cheating. You are giving it an unfair advantage by artificially fluctuating hormone levels which gives it an obvious physical advantage. (The world record for a bench press is 1160 lbs, done by Ryan Knelly, a roader. The Max bench press for someone who hasn't taken steroids is 700 lbs, James Henderson.)
SHE shouldn't be wrestling boys. If SHE was a he, SHE would be producing her own testosterone. What should be happening is that she should be getting mental help.
