The dims were jumpin' out of their seats like they were Jack-in-the-Boxes for the last eight years.

Now they're glued to their seats for the most part.

Did Pelousy have an electromagnet on their seats so that their iron butts couldn't move and didn't turn it off 'til Trump spoke his last word?

it hasn't, but republicans blamed him for it, so republicans now own it....

I think republicans will drag their feet on the repeal and it will not happen in the next 4 years, as they know this... watch and see

It was about the weakest person with any credibility they could pick. This is proof the Democratic Party is totally lost. They don't want to expose anyone in office because they are so out of touch with Americans they have no clue. Republicans and conservatives should not rest their laurels here, the parasites will recover, form a new strategy, and organize attacks and continue paying activists to attack the American people.

A state where he was replaced by a Republican, and a state that Trump crushed in the voting.

They HAD to get someone with nothing to lose lmfao.

It was an excellent address from President Trump. Touched on many key themes that relate to American citizens. The speech flowed well and was delivered in a very Presidential manner, I must say. America should be proud to now have a strong governance and administration team that will act in the best interests of America instead of just talking about the issues and doing nothing.

I never said that President Trump wasn't using a teleprompter tonight.

What I pointed out that Trump rarely used a teleprompter at his Trump rallies. In fact Trump never liked using a teleprompter.

So nice try saying something I never said. Try again.

How Donald Trump reacted when his teleprompter broke
During a stop at The Economic Club of New York, Donald Trump had a few things to say when he realized his teleprompter wasn't working.Source: CNN -> http://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/...eacts-to-broken-teleprompter-origwx-allee.cnn

Another example when the teleprompter malfunctions like the DNC.

Because they are hiding. Their performance during the speech was outside of decorum. It was like they shared a bottle of Xanax just prior. Truly odd.

Infrastructure jobs addressed us just fine! We are not like the city folk where they are afraid of anything outside the city! We will load up the fifth wheel and follow the company from one state to another stripping and laying concrete, asphalt for $40 an hour ALL DAY LONG! Now, you see why and how the Libby's are completely out of touch with the heart and rust belt community!

No worries here. The Democrats have to defend 23 Seats in the Senate, 10 of which are in states that voted for Trump. They could wake up on November 7, 2018 and find the Republicans with a 62 seat majority in the Senate.

State of the Union. This is going to be rich. Do you think Trump will actually speak, or will they just skip the pretenses and plop Bannon onto the podium? You know he’s the guy in charge when Trump is in a room filled with stiffs in perfectly crisp Armani suits…and Bannon is slouched against a wall, unshaven, looking like he spent the night in a dumpster....:roflol:

I just watched Chris Wallace responding to the State of the Union speech on Fox News. He said after tonight, Donald Trump IS the President of the United States.

Pretty good State of the Union speech and I have watched over 50 of them in my life time.

And unlike the past eight State of the Union speeches, Trump didn't lie and say the state of the union was good or strong, etc. like all of the liars in the past have.

Trump told the truth on the state of the union and then said what he planned to do about it.

    Armani suits impress you?

Too much. I learned long ago that the smartest person in the room was the idiot leaning against the wall watching.

Haven't learned that one yet or are you still ironing Armani suits?

    Cheers

People can't understand what they haven't a clue about! It's been what, three decade or BETTER that we have actually had and real national infrastructure jobs/program so most Libby Kiddies have no concept where "Roads" come from, they just figure they have always been there or cavemen or cowboys made them and of course they last forever with just an occasional watering and sweeping! But I'm pretty certain by the time Trump and crew reform welfare, unemployment and disability they all will become quite familiar with a lunch bucket, water cooler, steel toed boots and MUCK stick :roflol:

By Trump's standards, I suppose it was a good speech. But the speech nonetheless highlighted why Trump will never be able to keep any of the themes of his campaign.

America cannot be at once a tool of Israel and an apologist for its every outrage, and yet be about "America first", nor can it focus on protecting America's own borders instead of those of others, when in fact much of the attention of its policies are on protecting Israel and - with Trump's infatuation with the Israeli far right -- the attempts to bring about a so-called "Greater Israel". Nor can America work against the influence of lobbyists in Washington, and in particular those doing their lobbying on behalf of foreign governments, when it exempts the most powerful foreign lobby, namely AIPAC, from being treated for what it is.

America cannot rebuild its infrastructure and focus on doing the kind of things in that regard that Trump mentions, when in fact it wants to even increase the roughly $600 billion it already wastes each year on its so-called defense budget. Nor by taking a path that may lead to war against Iran - a war that will cost America literally trillions of dollars, never mind the human toll and instability it will bring.

America cannot work on bringing about better trade and commerce with the world, when in fact as a result of the policies Trump and his team like to promote, it is intentionally shutting itself out of the largest virgin market in the world, namely Iran -- a country which, if allowed to reintegrate in the world economy, can offer hundreds of billions of dollars in trade and investment opportunities for US businesses in all sorts of fields. There simply isn't a single market out there anywhere that America is shut out from, and which can bring as much money to American workers, as Iran. And there simply isn't as much difference in terms of real dollars and cents in what Trump can hope to renegotiate with others in trade deals, as he can have if the US stopped its self-imposed sanctions on Iran.

Trump cannot pretend (as he did in this speech, never mind his actual stance) to stand against ideologies that promote hatred of people (tellingly choosing to highlight anti-semitism at the beginning of his speech, even in an age and time when the most clear and imminent danger of hatred, racism, and discrimination lies in Islampobia on the one hand, Wahhabism on the other) when he has chosen to serve as a spokesperson for the Likud and the hatred, propaganda, and Islamophobia they like to spread. And the implicit (even at times explicit) alliance that the Israeli far right has been forging with Wahhabi Arabia against Iran. Not to mention the idea peddled by these folks that Iran represents a bigger danger than ISIS, which Trump rightly describes in terms he does.

Trump has hitched on the wrong wagon, regardless of where he wants to go.
