Nope I don't know them, I'm just saying we should be evaluating them individually. Even working with other countries in North America to take some in so we don't shoulder all the burden but also don't send them home to dire situations.

I think you're a decent guy and if you say another fellow is OK then he probably is. And I'm sure the bakers who refused to make a cake for a gay couple were decent people, too. On one hand the left seems to operate on emotions when it suits them, on the other hand they say the law is the law. I know a guy who's been in this country illegally for over 20 years and he's the hardest working mofo I've ever met, but not once did he ever attempt to legalize himself and he uses plenty of public services that he doesn't pay for. With guys like him I'm conflicted, if he tried to get a green card and paid his way I'd probably be singing a slightly different tune on some of these issues.

100 years ago mine did, I have a copy of their signatures when they arrived LEGALLY on Ellis Island. 100 years ago was back in the day where there were no government handouts, you swan or sank on your own.

I'm against sending bakers off to die.
Once you're here illegally it's nearly impossible to get right, that's part of the problem. Does the guy you know pay taxes?

Then you are Native American? I'm not aware of anyone else who's family didn't come here from someplace else...and nobody came because things back home were wonderful lol

Sounds legit then. I was thinking about the Boston bomber's family coming here claiming asylum yet returning back home often. I work around many Hispanic legal immigrants and most of them return home for Christmas to New Years and again on Easter. It's a big deal for them. If your reason to leave is violence, you don't go back.

The only taxes the guy pays are the ones built into the cost of buying something, things like gas and stuff like that. For the most part he gets by using the underground economy many Mexicans in this area use. You can get almost anything you want on the cheap if you know the right people.

That's what that guy says and you believe him? He could be the local drug dealer boss.

It's not our problem. He should have never been here in the first place. When he gets back he can start shooting the guys who made threats against him.

Why can't they go to Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, or Uruguay?

I'm torn on this immigration issue. I've motored around the baha and once off the beaten path, it's horrible. Homes without doors and windows. Towns without street lights or traffic signals, and you then realize there are no telephone poles because there isn't electricity in the entire town. Skinny tore back cats and three legged dogs, It's horrible. So I get the desire to come here. Now I'm going to share two stories.

First is my man Ruben. Ruben has been my right hand man for many years, born in Tijuana he is a legal immigrant. Ruben is rock solid. On time, every day, does an awesome job and is the kind of man you could trust your life to. Early in our working relationship I asked how many kids he had. He told me 3. I replied THREE? All you have is three measly kids? Pretty sad excuse for a Mexican if you ask me. He laughed and said "hefe, kids are spensive, I pay their college, I by the boooks, I pay cell phone, I pay insurance and gas, I buy food and clothes. Well, Ruben, welcome to America, I'm proud to know you.

Second is marcos, he works for my wife in her store. Marcos is legal but wife and kids are not. Marcos has 5 kids but none of them have his last name, his wife doesn't have his last name. He freely admitted that it is because his wife and kids get government money if they aren't married and don't declare his income. Marcos lives on the cheap, saves all the money he can, returns to Mexico often to build his ranch where he plans to retire. People like Marcos suck.

Um, do we live in North or Central America? Belize and EEl Salvador aren't US states.

How is this supposedly winning when Central America isn't even our land!? Does anything with "America" attached to the name mean it's part of the US now? Come on, you can't be this dense.

What this is simply is a diversion from the failing healthcare repeal on the hill.

But prior to the last 30 years most came here simply for opportunity.....now they come because they can birth their babies for free and immediately start stealing my tax dollars for food stamps and free medical care......and free bi-lingual education for the next few decades......

There are "dire situations" everywhere (like Detroit, Oakland, St. Louis, etc.).

Sure they did. Lots of explorers came over for wealth and the wide open spaces of the frontier.

I agree they should be taking folks also. Throw in Canada and Mexico for that matter.

Does everyone in the world who wants to get away from violence and poverty get to come here? That's like...6 billion people.

What the hell are you talking about?

What don't you understand about the plan that "would allow for teens and children who arrived in the U.S. illegally by themselves to be put on a fast track to deportation"???

The gangs here in the United States threaten and intimidate people that live here.

    What's your point?

That type of plan needs to be opposed to. By everyone and anyone. Children who came here, "illegally" shouldn't be deported.
