They left everything in place: A 70 page step by step guide that any idiot could follow of what to do in case there was a threat of a pandemic (including re-stocking the supplies that would be needed). And a WH office intended to monitor the situation, alert the President so they could start implementing the guide.

A stay at home order would have no legal power to keep you from going out, but there are ways in which it can be enforced. For example, it can be enforced at a federal agency level. But, more importantly, it would move idiots like the governor of my state to issue one. He can do more than "suggest it". He can exhort governors to implement it, which would have moved the governor of my state, who is Trump's lapdog, to implement it sooner and save lives.

Why has that become an argument on the right? I guess because Trump has made it an argument by repeating it over and over. But it's a dumb argument. Everybody who has moral values and is not a hardcore Trump loyalist hates his guts. Even those who deny it. Even his own family. That has nothing to do with anything anybody does.
