Yet you find fault that President-elect Trump called them our about the story, and no statement condemning that they published it in the first place.

I remember a time when presidents were (rightfully) chastised for scolding the media... or at least that's what I recall on this very forum any time Obama made a swipe at Fox News, as an example. I believe the common response was "don't like it, don't run for president... this job requires thick skin". How far we've fallen.

 

I disagree.This is the beginning of reintroducing professionalism and real journalism. The U.S media is the one that must be held accountable for their own actions. They have no right to go around smearing people and destroying lives without having credible and firm evidence for what they publish. As DJT, he's lucky enough to have the opportunity to fight back, unlike many who were destroyed by the media and were unable to defend their own point of view. Journalists are suppose to serve the public. They are not some sort of superstars who should be above the law. Many of them turned into political hacks, which is simply disgusting.

 

You don't understand the 1st Amendment. you've the right to (mostly) say what you please, you've no right to be immune from repercussions.
